And a new week begins!

Your challenge for week forty-two is to write a minimum 500 word worldbuilding article on heraldry/symbolism in your world.

BONUS goal!: Enter the flash fiction writing contest.

Remember, in order to receive points for completing the weekly challenge, you MUST declare it by Monday at midnight.

As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. All challenges (personal or weekly) must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

If this is your first time on one of these quests, you'll need to see the initiation pamphlet.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:
Goal: weekly challenge (or whatever you decide to do)
Timezone: PDT

WRITE!!! *turns over hourglass set to run out at midnight on Saturday*

Unfortunately I don't think I have much by way of heraldry in my world... I have some color symbolism which might count, but I already wrote that article for the Volk, and I'm not far enough into the other cultures to know their rules yet. o.O

Personal goal: Get at least 5k written on the Red Rain sequel rewrite
Timezone: CST

Well, I'm not getting ahead of Zoe this week. But it's my personal goal to pass her sometime this year. This is about a little friendly competition, aint' it?

This week, though, I'm dropping out of my goal. It was an exceptionally busy week at work, and I have several projects coming due at the end of the year. I will probably sit out next week as well for that reason, but starting in February, Reiyen and I will be cracking down on the Red Rain sequel, so there'll be goals to be made and met. :D
