Welcome to a new year full of world-building! :D Come make your goals for the first month of the year. (those of you returning from last month can go into the list below and edit your goals after adding them to the thread, or ask someone with the power to do so for you/simply put in your new goal in the thread)
This will be run much like the Music Accountability threads. Join the group by editing your name into the following list or asking someone to do it for you. Then post your world building goals for the month and keep us updated. Have fun!

Zee List:
Aubrey Hansen
Azlyn A. Mimetes
Jonathan Garner
Lady Kitra Mimetes
Leandra Mimetes
Lord Tarin
Lycanis Mimetes
Sir Inesdar Ternis

EDIT: As this group is new and just starting out, feel free to make suggestions on how we can run it to best serve world builders. :D

Participants & respective goalsHidden in neat little notes like this one. Please check the list below so you know who to poke and what you're poking them to do. ;)

Aubrey HansenWrite or completely revise 3 world-building articles this month.
Azlyn A. MimetesWrite one worldbuilding article this month.
Jonathan GarnerWrite one world building article per week for world building notes.
Lady Kitra MimetesGather the scattered Nohokai into a unified thread in Lor-Amar, complete with an autographed photo (if only Nohokai could write)
Leandra MimetesContinue work on the map of Rhoive.
Lycanis MimetesGet fantasy world page up on website.

Awesome, guys. :D

I'm leaving my goal the same, since I didn't accomplish it last month...I need to try and revise a few articles (ones that would go well as the first pieces to make it to my blog) so I can post them. ^_^

I'll aim to write my Nohokai thread this month... I'd try for two, but January will be very busy and I'll probably have to redraw the picture as well... Behemoth shall just have to wait.

Thanks for starting this, Jeremiah. :D

I'm going to leave my goal as one article, and hopefully this time it will actually happen.

I need to figure out a goal..."continue work on my map of Rhoive" is so vague and unspecific. XD

I guess...get the map scanned, outline the continents digitally, and give at least one continent terrain features like mountains.

I haven't made any progress on my goal yet, since the attempt to scan it didn't work so well because the map was in pencil and it was too faint, but I'll have a good opportunity soon to ink over it and add in some terrain features. So, no progress yet but hopefully some soon.

I may not be making my goal this month. I did write one post for my SF, but not the one I intended. Writing has gotten easier in my brain lately than world building, so well it's that way, I'll do what I can. I'm sure I'll be back to my building soon enough. Perhaps even in the next week...

But this is still a writing forum. *tongue*

I have to format a book this weekend, but once I complete the next stage of that I'm going to let it sit for a day before I come back and polish it off. So while that's resting I'll take a day or two and do my world-building goal. :D

I don't think I am going to meet my goal...

I might even see about getting my subforum archived for a time. Everything is outdated, and the thought of updating it is... *whispers* stopping me from writing. :P

Hey everyone! I missed this at the beginning of January, so I am going to jump in here. To begin the process of world-building, I have created the following:

ViV (Pronounced with a short vowel) - The name of my story Planet
Etherelm - The name of my heavenly realm
Netherelm - The name of my hellish realm

My goal for the month of February is to complete the Geographic Landscape of ViV (i.e. The land masses and bodies of water) with a possible cartograph (map) drawn as well.

Yay, new people! Welcome, Lord Sandefur. :D

I sympathize, Rose, and putting your subforum on hiatus while you clean it up is not a bad idea. However, that is not license to stop working altogether. ;) Try making a list of what needs done and budgeting it out into small, manageable steps.

Not to be a bad example or anything, but I'm not going to complete my goal this month. :P I have a very intensive formatting project that has sufficiently consumed my week. I did, however, have a "breakthrough" regarding the origins of my world, so I am working on it in a positive fashion. :D

That's the spirit, Mae! *offers cupcakes for the road*

Maybe little brother will have to prod big sister to work harder next month... and vice versa. ;)

I got part of my goal done? I took a pen and inked over the continents. :P Didn't add the terrain features I'd planned to, though.

You have blue skin with orange polka dots. Four eyes, one red, one yellow, one green, and one blue. You have four arms, two are furry and two are scaly. One ear is a floppy dog's ear and the other is a pointy dog's ear. Your hair is a mess of tentacles. You have the body of a centaur, with four wings and two tails (both with feathers on the end). Two wings are pink. The other two are green and black, respectively. You have a row of sharp spines going down your back (very sharp). You also hiccup rainbow bubbles... ~Vili
So, now you all know what I look like.

We're creating a HW RPG! Come check it out!

Aw. :( Well, that's still a start, and there's this month. Hopefully you can get it this time. :D

I didn't get my goal done either, but I've made progress on updating my world-building stuff at least.

Here's the new thread! viewtopic.php?f=34&t=7519 (I got you added to the list, and put in your goal on the new thread, Lord Sandefur :D)

Locked. Please go post on the other thread, and if a mod could archive this after a few days, that would be great.
