Greetings,

Well, here is the first challenge: write 5000 words in one week. You do not have to post the 5000 words here, when you are done. :)

The rules:

1) The week is seven consecutive days. It does not have to start on a Sunday.

2) The 5000 words must be written in one fantasy story. It does not have to finish the story, or start a new one, but it does need to be fantasy. And you can only count words that are in one story, no fair counting them from multiple stories.

Questions are welcome. Let me know if you want to do it! This is a perpetual challenge, in that you can start whenever you want, and do it as many times as you want.

With joy and peace in Christ,
Jay Lauser

I'll definitely give it a try, but I can't start it for a couple days. That's actually not very difficult for me because I'm a quantity person. If I get hooked on a story, I write like crazy and then realize it needs revised after writing 30 pages. I actually wrote 40 pages in six hours once! You should have seen the typos... :)

I feel the dawn. I feel the dusk.
I feel blood. I feel death. I feel life.

Alright! That is fine, start whenever you like.

I can be like that too, but I tend to like my story edited as I go or I have a hard time thinking. :) Especially when I am typing instead of writing.

I like revising things as a whole so I can get a feel for the story in its entirety. My typos were mainly grammatical, because I'm kind of a capitalization freak when it comes to my stories.

I am learning to do that. I think it works better.

What do you mean by a 'capitalization freak'?

"Capitalization freak" as in, I totally flip out if something isn't appropriately capitalized in my writing. I bug my family because I'm always making them go back and capitalize. :)

You can start whenever you want. If I do it, I will probably start on Monday.

My bad. I think it was late when I wrote that post, but I still can't take this particular challenge yet.

Yes, absolutely. These challenges (except for NaNoWriMo) are all time insensitive. :) Meaning that you can start anytime you want.

By the way, I never mentioned it, but I almost did 5000 words in one day....

I have to disqualify myself, I don't have any fantasy stories. If you do it during NaNo, you could probably do it in a few days.
