Your challenge this week is to pick a minor character from a WIP and write a detailed backstory. And by detailed I mean with dialogue, etc.

Remember, in order to receive points for completing the weekly challenge, you MUST declare it by Monday at midnight.

As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. All challenges (personal or weekly) must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

If this is your first time on one of these quests, you'll need to see the initiation pamphlet.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:
Goal: weekly challenge (or whatever you decide to do)
Timezone: PDT

Go!!!! *shoots off fireworks*

Renna, my interpretation of the weekly challenge is this:
Write a story in the past of the minor character of your work in progress (current story, any story you're working on most recently)...I worded that horribly. Write a shortstory set in your minor character's past. :D (minor character as in, someone other than the main characters)
(Raven, is my interpretation accurate?)
Hope that helps. :D

0.0 I wike this challenge! Oh, yes, I love this challenge, I am very excited, yes, I am. Who shall I write about... * ponders estatically * I know, I'll just write about all my minor characters! Yes! * bounces off to write backstory *

* comes back when she remembers that that was not 'zactly how she was supposed to sign up to the challenge * Oops... * clears throat *

Goal: write detailed backstory of a minor character of WIP
Zone: GMT

* bounces off again *

:dieshappy: I got the idea from a story I wrote once. It was a knock-off of the Big Bad Wolf, only he was really nice. XD

Since I made my goal last week and saw how it pushed me to finish, I have come back for another round. As this week looks to be fairly busy, I shall cut back on my ambitions.

Personal goal: write 20 pages in The Conquering Light.
Time zone: MDT.

Actually.... Can I change my goal a few minutes after making it?

Would it be inclusion of the weekly challenge to make my personal goal rewriting the prologue of my WIP, and that prologue is backstory on the minor character? If so, my goal is like this:

Personal Goal: Rewrite Prologue with Kaios Backstory
Personal Goal 2: 500 words in Tavion's fractal
Timezone: MDT

If not, then my goals are as in the above post.

I finished the weekly challenge! I think I got carried away though... and I don't think I did it right...

Also, yes, I spelled William as Wiliam on purpose.
