First, bonus points go to however know what stories/novels I am referencing in the title without having to read my explanation. So, psychologist B.F. Skinner, who did not believe in free will, wrote about a utopian society (one that really isn't that great) in his novel Walden 2. I'm pretty sure "Walden" is a reference to Walden Pond, but it doesn't matter. Some of you are, I hope, familiar with The Fall of the House of Usher. You probably don't know, however, that in The Martian Chronicles there is a short story called "Usher II" (a double reference, as the title also refers to the style of rocket names I.E. "Saturn 3") in which the House of Usher is recreated. So, basically, I'm planning a distopian novel about a seriously messed up "utopian" society, and a sinister group of dissenters who plan to turn this society, a space colony called "Walden 3", into another House of Usher, complete with all the creepiness. I'm mainly wondering if anyone will understand what I'm referencing, and which title, if either, I should use as the title of the novel. |

That's an intriguing idea. Usher III sounds the best for a title. |

I agree with Jonathan. Usher III shounds and looks better for a title. |

I didn't know what you were talking about, but your novel's premise sounds highly fascinating. As far as the book title goes, I shall not be the voice of dissent and therefore agree with Jonathan and Airianna. |

Right, so, Usher III. That's probably the more recognizable of the literature references anyway. |
