Figured we might as well start chattering about it now. ^_^

Who is doing the August version of this crazy writing escapade? Plans? Please share! :D

Well now, I guess I should answer that for myself. I want to try... Just I am going to be volunteering at a camp August 2-12. (I think that's the dates.) So I might try, when I get back, but we'll see.

Also, if I am to do that, I need to finish some developing that I keep putting off.

Camp NaNo Usernames:

Azlyn A. Mimetes: P. Rose Williams
Lycanis Mimets: RunningWolf
Dr. Cpt. Nemo Banner: Captain Nemolia

I am! With any luck I'll be writing two supervillain novels that month - Supervillain of the Day and Supervillain Hunters, International. (I hope to finish Inspector Floyd this month.) I have lots of writing to do, and I love Nanowrimo so I think the whole thing is meant to be. I didn't participate in June because I was gone all the time, but I'll be home for pretty much the whole month of August. :D

Two novels?!

I plan to compete again. I shouldn't be bombarded with work or trips that month so everything should go smoothly. *looks around suspiciously*

Awesome, Roager and Vanya. ^_^ I'm getting excited for this, though nervous that I will only have just over half a month. :P I think I can write fast enough for that... We'll see... I should really stop doing NaNo in insanely busy months. It's just so much fun!

I honestly don't know. :( I have trouble doing good worldbuilding when I'm WWing or over nanoing...and I don't really have a story ready for a nano throw-together. :P

I'm competing in August!!! ME! ME! :D

It's my first time ever competing in NaNo, so I'm excited and nervous. I think I have all the development I want for right now, but as I start writing it I'll probably want more, and will probably end up doing some after I finish the story, too. I'm excited. ^_^

They're not novels, Roager, they're novellas. 20-25K each. :D

Ha ha. You had me worried there for a second. 100k in one month is a lot of writing. I'm pretty sure I'd write my fingerprints off if I tried something like that. Or at least those a fingernail or something.

Me! I'm just wondering what I should take. I'd love to begin the Historical Fiction novel I'm planning to write, but I'm worried that I might not be able to finish the research on time. :/

You can always just run with the idea for NaNo, Alyssa, and then worry about research and accuracy on the next draft. I did that for my first NaNo, and while it wasn't quality, I learned a lot about writing and had fun. *Grins*

You could do the next draft of Pandemic. :D

*Is happy Nemo is doing it* ^_^ Those sounds like good plans! Also sounds a lot like my first year doing NaNo. Excited and nervous is right!

I've edited into the first post the Camp NaNo usernames of participants. If you have editing powers, put yourself in. If not, post it here and I will. If you have no clue what a Camp NaNo username is, we'll explain the site to you.

After much humming and hawing, I have finally decided that I am going to do Camp NaNoWriMo for August. :D

Blackwood City is the novel I'll be working on, provided I finish The Girl on the Swing, which I probably will have. ^_^ (I hope.) If not, I'll finish TGOTS and then move onto BC.

I keep forgetting it exists. I wrote 2K yesterday, though, so it shouldn't be that hard to write that much again today and get off to a running start. :D

I hope to start tomorrow, now that I am back from camp. We'll see what happens. I might include worldbuilding and character development.

How has Camp Nano gone for everyone this year?
