Okay, while haikus are not my favorite form of poetry, they ARE fun to write. So, I want YOU, yes, YOU to come up with a haiku about the first thing you see when you look away from your computer screen.
For those of you who don't know what a haiku is, I'll tell you!
Haikus are an ancient Japanese poetry tradition. They consist of three lines-the first has five syllables, the second seven, and the third has five. It's your choice whether to rhyme them or not, but usually they don't rhyme.
I'll go first:
My blue denim jeans
Old, worn out, comfortable
They need to be washed...
That was terrible, but it doesn't really matter. It's brain exercise, and it's fun, and can be quite humorous.Your turn! I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.
