Hey everybody,

This week I'm planning to edit at least 4 chapters and finish my zombie short story (which I'm finding out is more of a love story with zombies, but anyway). I also planned on recording and uploading another episode of audioTim, which I just completed, so check that off the list. I'm making good progress on the other two as well. (Sorry, Mondays are so busy for me, it's hard to get this posted then)

I finished a short story in less than 30 minutes later ( see viewtopic.php?f=118&t=3295 ) last night. I want to start writing one finished short a week or more. :D

My editing goal is to work for about half an hour a day, which should let me get through another chapter and get started on the next.

My writing goal is to keep plugging away at Secrets so I can post another chapter or two this week (and hopefully figure out a better title...) and do a little more work on Dreams of Darkness.

Edit: Annnnd I'm already changing my goal. Writing Secrets and Dreams of Darkness is taking second place to editing Of Dragons, Wizards, and Fluffy Pink Bunnies, because Vanya finished reading it and had some great suggestions I'm going to implement before I go back to doing line edits. I'd like all of that done by June 15th, so I'm going to spend most of my writing/editing time on that this week.

That is a great goal, Elly! :D *likes*

Sorry I'm late checking in, but I did set goals for this week and I am working towards them. I'm revamping my blog with the intent of posting frequently. I've set a schedule to make sure I'm evenly distributing the type of posts I'm making. My goal this week was to post at least 3 times - which I have met and exceeded.

My other, slightly-less-formal goal is to work on revising Red Rain and Faded. I think I just hit the "emotional breakthrough" with Red Rain, so I need to type up my plan of attack. With Faded I've been doing miscellany, including starting a series of world-building posts on my blog.

Great goals everybody. I just came in to rejoice that I've accomplished my goals by finishing the first draft of Resealing the Dead and editing 4 chapters in The General's Shadow.

One thing I've not done very well is make this thread more than just posting our goals and not interacting much with everyone else. So, I'll go in reverse order.

Phili: 3 blog posts a week is too much for me. Cheers to you for making the effort. You've got a nice looking blog, and I think the blog series on world building will be a good one. Also, breakthroughs on stories are the best. Remember it and I'd love to find out after I read Red Rain. So, I've seen the cover; is it still in the editing stage?

Leandra: I've had your editing request on my mind all month because of my thoughts on the critique group. I never posted a date for May because I didn't have anyone show up for April. If the Fireside is better for you that's great, but if you had been waiting for the critique group to set a meeting for May, I'm sorry. I will post something for June.

Elly: I read and commented on your story. As I said, I'd love to have you join our Critique Group for June, with that or another story.

Air: I'm glad you're excited about my podcast. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Thank you, Tim! Though the blog is getting a complete redesign, courtesy of Eruheran. In a few weeks, it will have a custom template in place! :D I'm excited about this. It's a big step for me.

I need to do some minor revisions (rewrite a handful of scenes), and then it will be time for line-edits. After the revising, I'll want a few test readers to give it a second look. Would you be interested?

CONGRATS on meeting your goals in good time!

Congratulations on finishing your goals, Timotheus!

I never actually did post an editing request for Of Dragons, Wizards, and Fluffy Pink Bunnies over here. I meant to, but forgot and then figured that by this time it was too late. But I will definitely have something to submit for the critique group in June!

Status on my goals is not too great. I put off editing yesterday and it never happened. And I've done very little today, so instead of catching up on all the HW posts, I think I'll go do some editing right now. ;)

Good job Leandra, that's the spirit, though I responded to HW posts instead of editing earlier. However, it was past due (especially my May critique group post...)

Thank you for posting, Tim! I do know I need to edit it, and I would love to join your critique group. I'll have to go look at that.

Thank you once again! :D
