Post here for goals to challenge you in the month of March.

1) 12 hours a week editing. (My course may get into rewriting, at which point I will have to adjust to writing.)
2) Submit short story, Crystal Vendetta. (let me know if you are interested in editing or if you need an editing eye on yours)
3) Read one book for the Holy Worlds Book Awards

I am going to have to stew over this. I'm not sure yet what my goals will be, writing-wise, beyond the fact that I'll be submitting one short script for sure.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

I'm carrying over last month's goal of finishing the basic edits for my NaNo so I can get rid of all the notes and ask a few people to read and give basic critique.

I'm also going to carry over the goal of making the world map of Rhoive. Even if it takes me multiple months, I will get it done eventually.

I'm also going to make writing another possible ending for my short story Do and Die a goal. I started working on that a while back and then it fell to the wayside, so I'll make it a goal for this month.

So, now you all know what I look like.

I'm going to revise and post a chapter a day of the Last Wizard.
Survive my theatre's production of Narnia.

How is everyone's monthly goals going? Did you forget what they were? Don't worry, I did too ;) .

My editing course dropped a book bomb on me by requiring me to read A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. I purposely hadn't read this before because of content concerns, and for that reason I can't recommend it. I am learning a lot about introducing characters, description and how to end scenes with a great twist. You can follow examples (clean) on my facebook or twitter as I post them from my kindle. After a week I'm at 35%, which out of 858 pages is pretty good.

I received an edit from Dutchess Daisy for my short story and now need to implement her advice. I will do that before the month is up.

I did finish a book eligible for the book award: The Serpent Kings by James Somers, but unfortunately it wasn't very good.

You can post (here) to lay out your weekly goals to help achieve these lofty monthly goals.

I couldn't remember if I'd set a goal... I hadn't, but I have a goal now, so I'll state it publicly. :D I will be finishing one of my feature scripts-in-progress during the month of April, so my goal for March is to make sure I am prepared to do all that drafting. I just finished the rough draft of the synopsis - I'll need to revise that as well as get a few other details solidified. I'm optimistic!

To finish the Rambo style hacking knife for my Girlfriend's Dad, forge an intricate wrought iron cross to go over a friend's fire place, write more on Frost claw and finish my Girlfriend's birthday present.

Will you show us pictures of these creations of yours, Whackem? They sound interesting! I've never known anyone that did wrought iron work.

Yeah Whackem, that's awesome. I got to say, if we had an award for most unique monthly goal, you'd have won hands down. :D
