| Post subject: | February Goals |
I don't mean to be redundant having a weekly goals thread and a monthly goals. Hopefully posting your monthly goals will use your dreams to push you to make your weekly goals more ambitious in order to achieve your monthly goals. For example, last month, my main goal was to finish my book. That meant writing 42,300 words. For me that's incredible. NaNoWriMo used to be the only month of the year where I really wrote because I had friends writing, public accountability and a lofty goal that would push me. I'm very thankful for this outlet to provide these every month of the year, instead of just one. Hopefully many people will take advantage of this motivational tool and we'll get to see many more success stories. This month, my goal is to edit a short story and submit for publication, work on my editing class homework for my first book, prepare interview for Mike Duran, and work on my next story idea. |

My goal for February is to finally get an acceptable draft of my novel. I'm going to give myself a small amount of slack and note that this doesn't include polishing and minor edits, it just means I'm aiming for a novel that is, in general, complete. |

My goal for February are unfortunately not about writing. Work hard at my business course. Not spend too much time on the internet. (specifically here Write articles for HW blog. (kind of contradictory to above, but anyway...) Be diligent in housework at home. Don't take library books back too late. That's about it for me. |

My February goal is to get a job, finish drafting the one-shot, and get all my Christmas presents mailed... XD (which involves getting the last of the pages of one of my other one-shots from another artist friend...) |

My February writing-related goals are: Complete my NaNo and do some quick edits, specifically the ones I wrote notes to myself about. Draw that world map of Rhoive. To help me further develop some aspects of Rhoive, regularly write "articles" about various aspects of the world. |

Thanks so much for managing this, Tim! These are great motivators and I'm glad to see all the goals people are posting. I have plans this month. ~Earn a subforum for Erde, the world from last year's NaNo novel ~Get into the schedule of posting twice a week on my writing blog (currently I post once a week) ~Make significant progress on a feature script entitled My Pet Dragon (right now I'm working on a beat sheet; once I get that done I'll estimate how much I can draft in this month) |

I'm not sure if I met my goal for February or not... I did some more major edits on my novel this month and in theory it could be near complete, after lots more small edits and polishing. |

I edited my short story, but could use someone else's eyes on a line edit before it is all the way ready for submission. All the other goals I completed. You can listen to the Mike Duran interview here. How has everyone else done on their Feb. goals? I've started the March goals here |

I'm afraid I didn't complete any of my objectives, though I seemed to make a decent amount of progress this month - just not on the things I intended. |

Ehhh. I didn't do so great. I do feel like I'm almost done with the basic edits of my NaNo, but not as much as I wanted to get done. I made a teensy amount of progress toward the Rhoive world map, but hardly enough to call that goal completed. I did articles for my three special races/groups in Rhoive, but that was all and I would have liked to have done more things. Oh well. |
