So, one of my evil creatures is something I've called a shepao (originally a mythical ao ao, but that was just weird to me, so yeah). Basically they live in the forest and are just animals and whatever until they see or smell a human. Their blood lust is so great that they will basically chase that human down until they catch him and eat him, if he climbs a tree the shepao digs around it's roots until the tree falls (and likewise if he crawls in a hole) so pretty much they hunt that person down until he dies (unless he climbs a palm tree [don't ask]). So my conundrum is what on earth should this thing look like? It's big, at least the size of a polar bear but it's at least part sheep so it has two twisty horns I just can't decide how I want the rest to look (i.e. teeth, claws, tail, body in general). Any ideas my fellows?

Sounds like a very creepy horrible creature! I wouldn't like to bump into it at night time. *shivers* Anyhow, I can't think of many ideas, but it could look like a polar bear but have black wool (some sheep have black wool)--that way at night and in the forest it would be hard to spot, and it could have horns as well. :) Not much of an idea but thought I'd throw it out there :)

Hmmmm. Throwing out ideas here... It could be black and mottled with brown. Roughly the size of a baby grizzly bear, but with long claws and fangs. Two curved horns on its head wouldn't be bad. And a long tail that is covered in what looks like fur, but it's really spikes that can be raised, like a porcupine.

Or it could be a cute little dog-like creature that comes up to you and slobbers, but the slobber is really poisonous and it makes it so that you can't ever leave the animal, so it can just eat you whenever it wants... Hmmm. Too much like real life, in my opinion. ;)

I would suggest longer fingers instead of the regular bear paw, so that it is more like a claw/hand. Easier to dig and kill things with, and leaves distinctive tracks, giving nice fodder for terrifying suspenseful observations. :)

I am envisioning a bear sized lamb, only less clumsy. Like Sir Emeth said, his feet should have longer fingers, but maybe not quite as long as a human. In my mind they are black, have red eyes and fangs. Their tail is long, sort of like a foxes. I also think their fur should be long like a yak, less curly like a sheep.

I like the idea with the claws... and the tail like a fox... I think the fur will be a little long but pretty soft (so more people have a reason to try to kill them... most fail sadly). I think I only need to figure out a good shape for the head...

It would look really creepy if it was a night animal (like Elanor suggested), had small, beady eyes that glowed reddish in the light (like cats) and made a specific sound... like a high-pitched screaming sound that lasted a long time and made vibration sounds as it grew louder and louder.
