Oh, I love naming people. Or, at least, I love naming people with names I randomly come up with. I'm thinking that for this story, you're doing the same? Syleh sounds like a made up (awesome) name.
Generally I start with just coming up with a letter. Then I'll add the next syllable. Sometimes it comes all at once with no tweaking needed, other times I need to alter it and work at it for a while.
Example:
The letter E. What would come next? A constant or a vowel? I'll pick the vowel, for now.
Eventually I'll come up with a name like Eilod or something. (Pronounced Ee-lod.) I don't generally take any sort of Latin or Greek word to come up with names. (I applaud those who take the time to do so.) I just randomly come up with some.
By the way, feel free to use the name Eilod if you want to. Unless you think it's a terrible name, then just ignore it.
