Since I tend to get overwhelmed by the Character Introductions thread, I thought I would post about some of my more important charries here.

Kyra Rae
Age: 18
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Height: 5'9"
Hair: Almost waist-length (it's usually in a braid to keep it out of her face), red, straight
Eyes: Hazel
Description: Kyra is very fiery; she often loses her temper, and is quite willing to speak her mind. She can be cocky at times because she is so skilled with most kinds of weapons. Her parents were killed in battle (Her father was a warrior and her mother a healer), and she has spent most of her life training so that she can get revenge.

Ciarra Esi
Age: 17
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Height: 5'1"
Hair: Black, straight, long, and she usually just lets it hang around her face.
Eyes: Grey
Description: Ciarra was captured when she was five by (um... not quite sure what the evil nation is called yet...), and she has been abused in every possible way. She trusts no one, and her only desire is to leave (Blank). She finally decides to escape when she discovers that she is pregnant.

Vera Uhl
Age: 17
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Height: 5'3"
Hair: Long, Black, wavy, usually pulled back by a silver headband
Eyes: Grey
Description: Vera is Ciarra's twin sister, and she was also taken from her home when she was five. However, she was kept by Maeldor (the evil commander, who is a really bad guy) and his wife. They raised as they would raise their own children, and she grew up cruel and calloused against her own people. She is a high-ranking army officer, and is feared by friends and enemies alike.

Rhain (lol... he doesn't get two names.)
Age: 19
Race: Elf (In my world, elves are actually the children of either naiads and humans or dryads and humans, and there are very few of them. I need to rename Naiads and Dryads, though, because I changed them quite a bit.)
Gender: Male
Height: 6'0"
Hair: shoulder-length, blond, and he pulls it back in a ponytail
Eyes: light blue-green
Description: (I haven't worked on Rhain much, so I don't know a lot about him yet.) Rhain lives with Kyra and her grandfather as a stable-boy. He is quiet, but there is very little that he doesn't notice. He does argue a lot with Kyra, though!

If you got this far, thanks!
So, what do you think of them? Are they too cliche?

Kyra: Cliche? Of course we aren't cliche!

Me: Is Vera calloused and cruel to her twin sister?

Aryn: You don't sound cliche to me!

Dani: Vera seems scary. I think she needs a big hug.

Aryn:

I like Vera, you can tell she's a complex character even with the little info you gave.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Kyra: Thank you, Aryn! See, Abby, I told you we weren't cliche!

Rhain: Vera is pretty much calloused toward everyone, Shawn. She's not a fun person to talk to. *shivers*

Me: But I do have big plans for her.

Kyra: Like what?

Me: Oh... you'll find out eventually. ;) And, thanks, Airianna! I'm having fun developing these characters, especially since they are all so different!

Dani: Do those plans involve a big hug?

Aryn: I don't think so, Dani.

Dani: And that relates because...

Me: Dani, be nice to your brother.

Dani: Okay. Sorry Aryn.

Aryn: That's okay. :) *he hugs her*

Me: Aww, how sweet.

Dani: Can I throw a dodgeball at Rhain?

Kyra: Yes! Throw lots of dodgeballs at him!

Rhain: Hey!

Me: Oh. Brother. And, Dani, I'll put a big hug in there, just for you! :D

Kyra: Oh, Vera's gonna like that.

Dani: Thank you! :D Now to throw a dodgeball...

Me: (We need a sneaky smiley that smiles with it's eyes darting to one side!) *a knife whizzes through the air and thunks right next to Rhain*

Dani: :? I threw a dodgeball. Hmm...

Aryn: Don't you try exploding one again!

Me:

Rhain:  That definitely wasn't a dodgeball!

Kyra: Did you explode a dodgeball or something, Dani? I would have liked to have seen that!

Dani: It's on page something or other of the Charrie Intro. thread. Let me check...
Ah, here we go.

Aryn: Such the computer genius.

Shawn Henderson wrote:
Dani: *snatches up dagger* Ha ha! :D Seriously, what does happen if you hit one of these balls with a dagger?

Me: How about I make one and you find out?

Aryn: Please don't!

Dani: It would serve you right for being mean! ;)

Me: *turquoise ball flies through the at at Aryn*

Dani: *dagger slams ball in midair and embeds in the wall. The ball explodes into a thousand radiant sparkles that shower like confetti around Dani and Aryn* That was amazing, if I do say so myself. *bows* These are pretty!

Aryn: *sneezes* I think I'll move away now... Cool move, Merashath!

Aryn: I looked rather foolish.

Me: Yeah, you did. ;)

Dani: Hey! No picking on my brother! Only I can. Nice face you made there, Aryn.

Aryn:

Me:

Rhain: Oh yeah, I do remember that! It was pretty amazing.

Kyra: Definitely one of the more interesting things I've seen...

Rhain: We should try doing it again!

Me: Ummm... I'm not so sure about this...

Tesra: Griffin sliced a ball in half.

Griffin: It was an accident...

Tesra: You call drawing your sword and deliberately slicing a ball in half an accident?!

Griffin:  Maybe.
