Me: No, except you're a hundred times his size.

Theron: Oh, yeah...

Seymour: So shall I.

Cory: Good, 'cause I don't think us five would be able to take you on.

Me: That sounds like Tynx, all right.

Tesmir: That was an impressive match. Seymour,. I can't wait to see what you can do.

Seymour: You have seen me before.

Tesmir: Not really. Tou and Lorielle have, against the Suragore.

Seymour: Perhaps, but that was hardly difficult.

Niarah - Seymour, I also look forward to testing your abilities. If you are not previously occupied, maybe we could meet in the chatroom sometime and spar a little? I believe that our weapons are similar, so we'd be well matched. What do you say?

Rahor - I say leave the poor guy alone.

Thysal - (flaps her wings lazily) I take it that you are not a dueller, Rahor?

Rahor - Not unless my honor is challenged.

Thysal - Probably wise.

Niarah - This is just in fun!

Rahor - Apparently, fun can be painful.

[Ben thrusts dagger at Tynx, and it gets stuck, so he is no longer able to use it]

Me: You get to decide, stuck in Tynx or in the ground?

Me: [Feels awful now] Oh! I'm sorry! Welcome new people!

Lorielle: Hi!

Tynx: Hi! [Starts digging around the dagger] Dude, a guy can't be without a weapon, help me dig it out and we can keep going.

Cory: I... have nothing to say to that....

Me: Not exactly one to take advantage of of these situations, is he?

Seymour: I shall look forward to dueling you, as well.

Me: Tynx, leave the dagger alone and fight him, he's at the disadvantage!

Tynx: Huh?

Tesmir: Turn around and attack! DOn't sit there trying to get your enemy's weapon unstuck.

Tynx: WHy? He needs it.

Me: To defeat you, yes. But he doesn't have it now.

Tynx: I don't don't get it.

Me: Come on, Tynx.

Tynx: Oh, fine, it might be pretty loose now anyway. [Turns and jumps onto Ben's head]

Me: Wow, I'm gone for a day and this place is I'm flames?!

Terra: Welcome Shawn and Jay *bow*

Eli: Welcome.

Malka: *dips his head*

Terra: Oh the fire burned some of my flowers!

Ben: Augh!! [grabs tynx and pulls him off his head, and grabs his tail and swings him around and throws him as far as he can. Unfortunately, that's not very far]

Me: Come on, Ben.

Tynx: [Rolls along the ground roughly] Whoa, that was a serious throw. [Staggers to his feet] Ow, now my tail hurts. But I'm not done yet!

Me: Don't think he will be for another few days...

Jek: [Smiles]

Me: ::blush:: I forgot about the new characters...

Malchus: Welcome, Shawn!

Camden: Welcome, Jay!

Theron: Welcome to you both. ::bows::

Me: Dragons can't bow.

Theron: I can. Anyway, Terra, it is impossible that your flowers were burned! That was special fire that could only burn Kimun... unless he touched them with his annoying little toy sword, in which case they might have been burned...

Tirahi: Do not mock an opponent's weapon, particularly if it is one you have not defeated.

Terra: Well, either way, I've fixed my flowers and they've been repaired to their beautiful selves

Eli: You and your flowers

Me: There sure is alot of fighting going on!

Me: My my, I leave for a while and come back to everyone fighting!

Terra: I'll just watch. I'm much better with a bow and my daggers... I'll let you use the swords

Eli: I too will just watch. I cannot engage in swordfights anymore, due to an injury to my arm *sigh*

Tynx: Surprise! [Wraps front paws lightly around Ben's neck and licks his cheek repeatedly] We can be done now if you want.

Me: I love him!

Hakor: WHo?

Me: Tynx. ^^

Jek: You love all your characters.

Me: You betcha.

Cory: You're just weird.

Me: Hey, if I didn't, some of you would be dead. I can't kill off characters I like. I have a hard time even killing off bad guys.

Mordir: And yet, you had no trouble with Darias.

Me: Yeah, well. He was already past the point of return. So there wasn't much point in keeping him anyway.

Mordir: I'm with Benjamin. You're weird.

Felicia: ::blush:: I just realised I don't have sword...

Me: You don't? Then what's that by your side?

::Felicia draws a elegant sword.::

Felicia: ::in awed voice:: Beautiful...

Felicia steps into Tavien's post and holds her sword at the ready. She does not strike, but stares full into Tavien's eyes.


Me: I love that tactic.

Theron: A dragon, eh? Well, I might fight him sometime, if he challenges me, but not now.

Camden: I can't believe it. Tynx just licked that kid. How... gross.

Malchus: ::shakes head::

Me: I agree, it's so hard to kill of a character, when you created him-- even if he's evil...to some extent

Terra: I love Tynx too! I think everyone on this thread has come to love him

::Felicia parries the slash, and holds Tavien's sword down for a moment with her own.::

Me: Felicia has had only the training that I've had... which isn't much.

Felicia: Thanks, but I could have answered.

Me: I thought you would be busy with the fight.

Felicia: I am like you. I can hold on a conversation while fighting.

Me: Oh, yeah...

::Felicia takes a swordman's stance, feet spread apart for balance, sword low but ready, and waits quietly, all the time searching Tavien's eyes::

Me: The point is to creep you out. Only problem being is that it works a lot better for me in real life than it seems to be for Felicia.

::Felicia sweeps her sword to meet Tavien's, and continues the sweep till it ends up on the other side. Again, she holds the sword there for a moment, then steps back and assumes a defensive posture::

Felicia: I have seen some of your stares before, at your brother at the dinner table. Quite impressive and unsettling.

Me: Yeah, well... I try not to do them at dinner. Makes people mad.

Felicia: Especially when you deny it?

Me: Hey, it's true I don't do them on purpose, unless I'm swordfighting or having a staring match with my brother!

Felicia: Whatever...

::Felicia ignores me, and fixes her unsettling eyes on Tavien again.::

Tynx: It's gross?

Me: Ah, it's not bad. He hasn't been anywhere disgusting.

Tynx: You think I would? Do you have any idea what that would do to my fur?

Jek: A little, vain, perhaps...

Cory: Haha, maybe just a little.

Seymour: Staring that intently might get you killed. If the opponent is fast enough.

Hakor: But by the look of it, they're both fast. So I don't think it matters much.

Jesse: Werynn's stares are creepy.

Werynn: Are they?

Jesse: Yes, they are.

Werynn: I would think your brother's would be.

Jesse: No, those are just... intimidating...

Tesmir: OK, Rowen's been gone for a few days now, and that other somebody's not here.

Me: 'Cause I don't know who to bring.

Lorielle: Bring another girl. I'm surrounded by guys, here. Except Werynn. But she doesn't talk much anyway.

Cory: Ouch.

Mordir: How about the sti- uh, I mean, the Grib-whatchamacallit? He'd be interesting.

Me: You, sir, just about got yourself a one-way ticket back to Piensor. But yeah, I might bring him in. Maybe two others, too. I might just replace the whole lot of you.

[Horrified stares from a few of my characters]

Me: I'm kidding. Alright, I'll bring in Saiph, Spica, and Shadow. Forgive me if I sometimes spell Spica's name as Spice, it's a spelling habit. I peck the keyboard. [Whistles shrilly]

Cory: Oh great, now we have to come when whistled for? We're not dogs, people!

Shadow: Well, this is... new...

[Two odd creatures stand behind Shadow, in... well, the shadows, looking nervous. Both look the same, but one's shorter than the other.

Me: I'll have to get a pic put up to describe 'em effectively. Everyone, this Shadow. He's Human. And behind him are Saiph and Spica, Gribbles. Saiph's abou eighteen in human years, and Spica a year younger. We're still not all too sure what that makes in Gribble years, if there is such a thing at all.

Cory: I see you've got them well hammered out.

Me: You want to make anymore smart remarks? Anyway, Saiph, Spica, Shadow, meet... uh, everybody else.

Spica: I... I don't know if I like this....

Saiph: There're other humans, don't worry. Come on!

Spica: Saiph, you're gonna get yourself killed befriending every other race you see, you know that?

Mordir: Dude.... futuristic stick figures was right on. [Gets covered by another avalanche of heavy books]

Me: OK, how do I put a picture of them up?

Saiph: [Looking at picture] Ick, is that supposed to be us? You do better on paper.

Me: Yeah, I know. Not the best, but hey.

Me: Oooo, futuristic stick figures! Neat! Hello, Shadow, Spica, and Saiph! Nice name, Shadow. I've always wanted to name a character that, but it sounded too cliche.

Camden: If I knew what you mean by 'stick figure' I'd agree that those are futuristic ones. Still, welcome, new characters! And really, Amanda, you should do more cliche names. I like the name Shadow!

Me: A stick figure is one that is made of five straight lines for arms legs, and body, and a circle for the head. And I'm not going to rename you!

Camden: Wow. Sounds hard to kill. C'mon, please name me Shadow?

Malchus: I agree to both Camden and Amanda... How would you hit a stick??

Camden: Hmmm... maybe with another stick?

I caught up! I caught up!! I've succeeded in reading all 32 pages of this thread and I probably know more about what's going on then the people who were actually doing it!!!

Aaron and Iri are my favorite characters. Do you like Ted Dekker? Iri reminds me of Darsal (the Lost Books, or something like that), just much better. (I didn't like that series. It was... dumb. Good concept executed very badly.) Klista fits in somehow with that whole thing too. Creepy.

What happened to smiley Matt? Matt, Cory, Rowen, and now Tynx are my second favorite characters. I love Tynx. I want Tynx.

Kimun is cool. But... my mind can only remember Gwydion (from the Prydain Chronicles)... who was not cool. Sir Emeth is much cooler. You come sweeping in here with all that flowery language...

Whoever it was who has the flower's blood, did you know that Thomas Malory uses the same thing to heal King Arthur's knights? I just read that today and now I'm curious if you got it from there.

The duels are cool. Here I thought I had come up with a brilliant way to get across barriers, but by the time I finished the thread it had all been figured out.

Oh, um... characters? Of my own? Where are they? I don't know... I can't decide who to introduce. I want you to meet Janin but if Janin is here Herene will track him down, and if I let Herene in he'll turn this entire valley of... whatever, (I'm not good with elven names,) into a court of law...

(That would be cool. We could set up another thread where your characters could bring their disputes and let other people's characters settle them. Could be a very interesting fanfic-meets-character-development-meets-something-I've-never-heard-of situation.)

Me: Uh, No. I'm developing a world, and I've got an amazing map, so, you're on hold.

Me: Wrong. I wrote another fantasy Novel a long time ago, and only got to chapter three. Since then, I've tried to write a couple of short stories, but couldn't because I didn't have a good world.

Dan: Enough about you. When are you gonna work on us??

Me: Uh, probably never. And if I do, It'll be after I'm through with college. (I'm in 9th grade, so, not for a long time.)

Niarah - It probably is. I think it is.

Me: It's... uh. A Gribble. Could be Saiph or Spica.

Saiph: Over my dead body.

Spica: I have not put on that much weight.

Me: Eesh, ease up. I never said it was either of you. Shadow's a Human. But the picture is what Gribbles look like.

Tynx: It looks weird.

Saiph: You look weird.

Tynx: I do not!

Zoey, I wouldn't worry about the flowers blood thing. I mean, you came up with the idea independently of any sources. And how many people do you really think are going to remember some obscure passage about how Sir Palamides gave Sir Gawaine flower's blood and they were both healed of their wounds within an hour? Who is even going to know who they are? So... don't fret. It's original.

Okay, I'm joining in. Try not to get me and my character mixed up.

Janin: I am Janin, son of Rynaud, son of Meline, heir of Tell, Prince of Yen, and Future Lord of Elleys. I-

Derek: I don't think your rank is going to impress anyone Janin. This isn't what you're used to.

Janin: I'm not entirely certain what we're doing here.

Derek: Neither am I. But since when are you ever certain of anything?

Janin: Who said I was?

Derek: Was what?

*Janin and Derek stare at each other in confusion, and then laugh.*

Derek: Dragons.

Janin: Dragons? Where?

Derek: Over there. And there. And-

Janin: I have never seen a land so oppressed by terrible beasts.

Derek: Can't you take them all?

Janin: I'm not afraid to try.

Derek: Well, then, neither am I.

*They both draw their swords, charge towards the nearest dragon, hit the post margins and fall back astonished.*

Janin: Sorcery.

Derek: Sorry?

Janin: Never mind. I'll find a way to get through.

Me: This is addicting. I hope I don't regret this...

Me: Wrong move, Tavien...

::Felicia pulls her sword back so that the blow only lands on the blade, and twists it downwards. She releases Tavein's sword, then makes more than five five lightning quick strikes at her opponent::


Me: I couldn't resist... it's my favorite move, and it works, 90 per cent of the time.

Felicia: I hope it works this time.

Theron: Janin and Derek, I might fight you sometime. But only if you have no special powers like Kimun... that was edging on unfair. Special sword, invincible to fire, not affected by sand or blindness. :: sigh::

Me: The great Theron complains. What has this world come to?

Camden: Wow, Zoey, that is a futuristic stick figure! I challenge Spica or Siaph to a duel!

Me: No you do not! One duel at a time.

Felicia: agreed. And you, Camden, need a lot more training before you can take on a Gribble. I don't think that you'd be able to hit them at two feet away!

Camden: ::threateningly:: After you finish with Tavien...

Me: Not on your life! No duels between characters in the same story! Whew, are all my characters in a bad mood today?

Theron: I can remove them.

Me: Go ahead.

Theron throws everyone but Felicia out the door. He follows shortly.

Thysal - (@Derek and Janin) That must've hurt. (slowly creeps closer and sniffs them through the margins) Hmm. Dragon fighters? Really now? Want to prove that claim? What do you have against us dragons anyway?

Rahor - Great. Now you have something to do, interrogating humans.

(Thysal snorts, then takes off and circles the forum)

Rahor - That'll be the last we'll see of her for a while. Until the next post.

Niarah - Hi, Janin and Derek. Nice meeting you! So, Janin, you are royalty as well?

Sumira - I feel slightly . . . outnumbered. There's a lot of humans here. And elves. Are we the only felines?

Niarah - Haven't we been through this before?

Me - Yes, actually.

Janin: *slowly. Suspiciously.* They... talk?

Derek: Apparently.

Janin: I have, never, met a talking dragon...

Derek: I think it's waiting for you to answer the question.

Janin: What do I have against dragons? A lot of things. Destroying property for one-

Derek: Property? What about people?

Janin: Um... we usually stop them before they get to any people.

Derek: You- can stop dragons? Effectively? Before they get to people?

Me: Despite being one of Janin's closest friend Derek doesn't know a whole lot about his customs or country.

Janin: Usually. There aren't very many dragons left in Yen. @Niarah: Did I forget to mention I'm the Prince of Yen?

Derek: I told you, Janin, they're not going to know what that means. I don't even know what that means.

Janin: You don't need to know.

Derek: (To Niarah) I'd say he's royalty. Most anyone we met in the border kingdoms would stop in their tracks just hearing the words 'prince of Yen.' Don't think his title is all he uses to stop enemies though, I've heard he's undefeated with a sword.

Janin: Herene beat me.

Derek: Really?

Janin: He's better than I am. That's why I don't fight with him anymore.

Derek: So... who's Herene?

Janin: My cousin.

Derek: Figures. It runs in the family.

Janin: I suppose you could say that. But I'm not here for dueling. I don't even know where I am.

Derek: I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually.

Janin: *suspiciously* You know?

Derek: *innocently* Maybe.

Janin: Whatever. No, I don't have any unusual powers. I'm just... good with a blade. Derek's royalty too, in case anyone's wondering. Crown Prince of Tamara, betrothed to the only heir of Ramoth, the two most powerful kingdoms--

*he breaks off, realizing Derek is staring at him, speechless*

Janin: Okay, nearly betrothed.

Derek: I thought you wanted to marry her!

Janin: *carefully* I'll- explain- later. When we know where we are. Okay?

Derek: All right. whatever. Just don't do that to me. Honestly, Janin, sometimes I feel like you know things- things you shouldn't...

Me: I could just sit here and write every crucial conversation in the book... I love making these two talk.

Me: Wow... Okay, lots of stuff going on.

Robert: What is this, another other world?

Me: Yes, apparently.

Robert: But I just got into Lescatia...

Me: Yeah, but part of Lescatia is here as well, so as long as you stay in my posts things won't get too weird.

Robert: I almost forgot to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Robert Wilson. I live in Wales, but I just moved there from New Hampshire and not too long ago I was transported into Lescatia where apparently I am some prophecied hero.

Jalthien: You are the Armorbearer.

Robert: Right, that.

Jalthien: I am Jalthien, seer and servant of Theos the One True God.

Me: Well, it's getting late in the real world, you guys can come back again later with some other people.

Robert: Okay, whatever.

Jalthien: As you wish.

Just for the record, Amanda asked for it. She said Kimun could do whatever he wanted. And he was fighting a dragon, which he has done before.

If he fought someone else, like, someone with a gun, for instance, he would be hard put to it.

Me: I know I asked for it, though I didn't quite know exactly how powerful Kimun was, and I don't remember ever allowing that funky sword, but I wasn't complaining.

Theron: Wait, you mean you let him be invincible???

Me: Um....

Theron: ::roars fire::

Me: Alright, somebody needs to cool off.... pun unintended.

Malchus: Welcome, Robert and Jalthien! Robert, this isn't exactly another world, it's kinda... all the worlds. Which might be another world. But then, it might not.

Alanhil: What is Felicia doing??

Me: I think I'd better explain this to him in private... my characters seem to easily slip into bad moods.

Janin: These dragons are making me uncomfortable.

Derek: This whole place is making me uncomfortable.

Janin: You're the one with all sorts of mysterious knowledge about where we are.

Derek: That's what's making me uncomfortable...

Janin: Are you going to tell me or not?

*uncomfortable pause.*

Me: You're between worlds.

Janin: what? Who are you?

Me: Um...

Janin: wait, wait, wait. Not this again. Is this like that thing your wrote where I'm dead and I meet that guy who's bitter about his past or something but he's really from another universe and you just thought it would be interesting for your two MC's to meet-

Me: That's enough about that.

Janin: *miserably* I hate being manipulated into these kinds of situation. Isn't it bad enough I can't control my own destiny within my story, I can't even control it when not?? Why am I between worlds again?

Me: Because it's fun. You're supposed to use this as an opportunity to get to know some other characters.

Janin: *bitterly, to Derek* You knew this.

Derek: I... guessed. You've been between worlds before?

Janin: I don't want to talk about it.

Me: Neither do I. You're the one who brought it up.

*Janin walks over to the other side of the post, grumbling.*

Me: Herene wants to come.

Janin: Let him.

Me: Hmmm, I don't think so. You're not being very nice to these other characters.

Janin: I'm just uncomfortable with talking dragons, okay?

Derek: That's not very diplomatic.

Janin: I'm not known for my diplomacy.

Me: Be nice. Or else.

Derek: Else what?

Me: Else I'll do something terrible to you both...

Me: *Falls of my chair laughing* Wow... sorry, that was just so funny!

Eli: There are alot of royal characters here, including me
