Mmmm.... * keeps trying *

Aha! The problem, apparently, was that the place where I was copying them from before added a space before the username, and the system wouldn't accept that. It's working now. Thanks, Lt. :)

I can't decide....

Alright, I'll stab the proverbial hat pin. Suggestions for a word count goal for me, anyone? * picks a number * * will take the suggestion that is that number of suggestions away * :D

I'm being a weirdo and going for 70k, though that'll probably be lowered significantly. I'm doing three college classes this summer, and as they're poetry, theatre, and English, I'll probably have a lot of essay writing to do...

Rwebhu - 50k? :)

Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

I don't put myself in the list... do I?

I'm not sure about word count yet... I'm trying to figure that out. I need to finish this book - but I'm not entirely sure that it will BE 50,000 words longer than it already is...

Perhaps we should opt out. I've got Juliet & Lt. in mine.

To all newbies in C NaNo who want to "opt out" of their current cabin just go to your cabin settings and select the Opt Out button. Then go back to your cabin settings and make sure that what you requested is submitted.

This newbie, doesn't even know how to see her cabin? (Yes... I know, that's really sad.) Can someone help me out, please? I know I've been assigned, since it gave me the option to opt out, under settings...

Opting out...

I wonder if I should do this so I can world-build during it...

I'm probably too late to get a HWer cabin now though. :(

Maybe have two cabins? Find another set of eight people?

Wren, it should be under the drop-down menu 'community'. Right under that it'll say 'cabin' or 'cabin settings'. :D

I...guess it's better than our last try. :P Wanna see if it does even better after another try, or should we just stick with what we've got?

Hmmm... well, I guess maybe we could give it another try, if ya'll want to. I mean, it gets better the second time around (I had no HW-ers the last time, and this time I have four), so maybe the next round will be even better? What do ya'll say?

Personally, I would leave it as-is, instead of opting out. Next time we may get less HWers. :P

I let you all decide. I'm good with opting out, but I'm okay with staying put too. Do they have a limit on how many times you can opt out?

Oooh, how did I miss this thread? I'm rather determined to do it this time. I'm going to write two of the supervillain novellas for next year. The time-travel duo. <grin> Every cabin I've been in in the past, HWer or not, has always ended up being really quiet. o.O So this year I might stop trying to get put with specific people (I can chat with ya'll anywhere, after all, :D ) and see what happens if I specify wanting to be with chatty people. (I think that's an option. Something like that.)

For myself... terribly. :P I have too much schoolwork and too much chaos going on in my personal life to really write much (or, rather, to find the energy to write much). I haven't been this painfully behind in a writing competition/writing event in a very long time. :P

Very well. I mean, aside from the fact that my hard drive started crashing yesterday and I nearly lost all of it (not to mention some other important things). :P Aside from that – very well.

I'm doing pathetically. I think I've written less than 1000 words all month. And I haven't even spoken to my cabin mates.

I just got busy everywhere else!

I gave it a shot, but I was crippled by a sinus infection partway through. Finished my book at 40k and didn't try to finish out the wordcount. :-p

I didn't ever really do anything. I got really busy, wasn't even in town for part of it, and accomplished - the knowledge that I needed a rewrite. :P
