Me: "Alianna is from a spy story?"

Jay: *silently nicknames her Alli* "He wanted the container open so that he could get the papers and information inside. The papers I was supposed to deliver to my contact. It scanned fingerprints, and only responded to three people: the director's fingerprints were always programmed in, and my contacts and mine were added in for this case. If you were the wrong person, it would shock you."

Pirzak: "Hence I didn't try it." :P

Me: "I'm tinkering with the plot as it goes along, so it's not entirely consistent."

Raczr: *rolls and avoids the poison* "She has a point, Aris the Author." *jabs just below Chayn's jaw line*

Seymour: [Smiles and pulls his staff toward him, kneeing Gavin in the stomach] Try doing more acting than thinking, but think enough so you know what you're doing and how it may end.

Chayn: [Flicks an ear and shifts slightly]

Corelle: I may have something for the two of you for your kite. [Rummages around in a sack and pulls out a somewhat stiff roll of fabric] Here you go.

Aelynn: Thank you, ma'am.

Zurik: [Twists and meets Kaida's blade with his] My patience is just about worn out with you.

Me: Really? I thought it'd worn out a while ago.

Zurik: I wasn't speaking to you.

Suragore: [Swims rapidly toward Brand] Remember, you must be my eyes. If the water stings, thump on my hood and I'll go up to the surface.

Tynx: [Cocks his head] So, were you a good guy at first, or a bad one?

Me: Hi Inesdar!

Rune: Make sure to breathe-

Me: Cassie and Chase are humans. Zurik's the villain in their story. Rune, Tesmir (the one skiiing on Malcolm's tail), Jek and Hakor (twins) are also humans, and brothers (they have four additional brothers). Aris is also human, an ambassador in her world. Mordir's human, he's an assassin. But he's having anger issues at the moment, so I approach at your own risk. Then.... there's Tynx, he's a red and white fox, and a shape-shifter. Then there's the Suragore, a winged, hooded snake, and Meriak, a winged... human-ish creature. Both of them are kind of villains. Then there's Chayn and Rowen, a poison-breathing dragon and a fire-breathing dragon, respectively. They're twins from the same egg. Corelle is a healer, then there's also Aelynn and Seymour. Those three are half-elves, or Luvarians. Aelynn's the daughter of one of the council members, and Seymour is prince (half-elf equivalent to a king) of the Luvarians.

Rune: I thought I said breathe.

Tounon: Funny thing is, her's looks a lot longer than others. You have too many people in here, Aris!

Me: I know. I'm thinking a few of 'em will leave.

Zurik: [Looks at Hetsila] That would depend on what her measure of worth is.

Me: I'm no good at word logic.

Cassie: Zurik's weird. It's good that he's trying to help his family, but he's doing it wrong. And he smells funny.

Zurik: WHAT!!!

Chase: [Face/palm]

Chayn: [Snarls and jerks her head back, but a line of blood trickles down below her jaw]

Mordir: [Smiles darkly] Focus isn't one of your strong suits, is it? [Thrusts his sword toward Ashrai's chest]

Me: "Oooh, dragon twins from the same egg? Genius!" :D

Okay, here's the run-down on my characters that I forgot a post ago... Shawn is a human from Shattering the Dark. She has amber eyes and pale gold hair. Jay is a stubborn, impatient, impetuous spy from her story who thinks he always knows what's best."

Jay: "Excuse me? No I don't."

Me: *points* "See? Anywho, I also have two villains. Pirzak is also from Shattering the Dark, and I just decided that I will vaguely describe him in the story but won't really tell what he looks like."

Pirzak: "You make no sense."

Me: "I just had Mountain Dew, okay? Raczr is one of my antagonists from A Slave's Song. He doesn't have any special powers to date either, except he can "mindspeak".

Raczr: *follows up with a distracting move at her chin*

Me:  "I love Zurik's reaction."

Pirzak: *mutters something about author's and their morbid, twisted and cruel pleasures*

Me: *mutters something about her villain not being worth the effort to throw a dictionary at*

Terminus: *chuckles* No, I think I'm going to keep you here for a moment more, keep you out of the way of things.

Me: Or you could just kill her...

Terminus: I warrant no reply to that.

Me: Why not? I want to know why! TELL ME!

Taranis: *shrugs* Don't ask me, I've been around here less than you...

Terminus: Strange... *drags Alexis to a chair* *sits her down* *creates a sword in his right hand and points the tip at her neck* Stay here and I won't have to hurt you further.

Brian: Yeah, but it's cooler when the good guy can do it.

Kicking his leg wouldn't get him out of the leg hook, and the attempt to do so would give Beduuin the time he needs to shatter Griffin's arm.

He took the one foot and pushed Beduun's leg off of his other leg. If you still don't think that would work, here.

Griffin:(smashes the side of his arm into Beduun's face, causing Beduun to slightly loosen his grip on Griffin's arm, and Griffin pulls his arm out, beginning to roll over on top of Beduun, pummeling his face in)

The other arm can't reach across like that, at least not enough to make him notice a strike with the way his head is tucked in.

It looked like it could in the video...hmm, ok, how about this.

Griffin: (in an act of desperation, Griffin rams his thick skull into Beduun's, quickly using his sheer strength to tear his arm free, punching Beduun in the face before grabbing his sword.)

He has to reach across his body, and Beduuin's head is hidden behind Griffin's head, and the part turned towards it is really hard and difficult to hurt.

When you hit someone's skull, the involuntary action is to tighten up, thus shattering Griffin's arm. If you hit someone's chest, they loosen up, if you hit their head, they tighten up. And if he tries to use force to get away, it will only tear the ligaments in the shoulder worse: he is completely locked in.

Ah, I see, Beduun is trying to end the fight with this one move.

Griffin: (rolls toward and over Beduun, negating the hyper-extension already in act, ending up on top, and hitting Beduun in the chest, slipping out his arm)

In sequence, if Griffin doesn't give up with this one.

Griffin can't roll, because the opposite leg is hooked, and he doesn't have time to try to unhook it.

He rolled with Beduun, he forced Beduun to roll by rolling. Beduun is focused on the lock and keeping his legs hooked, Griffin simply kept his legs hooked, but rolled with them that way.

Beduuin has his elbow planted on the ground, making it so that Griffin would have to arch his whole body on his posted leg, and throw Beduuin over to shift the weight into a roll, but that is prevented by the hook. And even if he did roll over, Beduuin would merely hyperextend the arm even more, not losing his grasp at all, while staying completely out of reach of strikes.

Rolling would be easy, he just uses the elbow Beduun has planted as a pivot point. Wouldn't it be hard for Beduun to retain his grasp, as gravity is reversed?

To pivot on a fulcrum at the end of a lever, you have to move the other end all the way over. All his weight is hooked on the other leg. :)

No, since he is driving in the escape direction. The only way out is for the arm to break.

Me: Rinifer! Congratulations! You're an elf!

Rodash: *pokes head out of cave* What?! No fair! How/why did that happen?

Me: Yesterday, and...all his strengths and weaknesses matched that of an elf and I don't have any elf MCs and I wanted one. You're still a lowly human.

Rodash: *pouts*

Me: But chin up! Aragorn was a human!

Cuoash: *eyes Fallen*

Rinifer: *takes the opportunity, leaps forward and sweeps Devon while his balance is out*

Okay, was hoping I wouldn't have to do this...

Griffin: (wrenches his arm free, gritting his teeth as he hears it break, he pounds Beduun face quickly withe other arm, and before he can react, he jumps off and grabs his sword, slicing at Beduun's, probably no longer down, form, keeping his broken arm behind him out of reach)

As soon as the arm is broken, Beduuin's arm goes across Griffin's chest, filling the space between him and the blow, and then wraps Griffin's neck. Using the opening made by the incapacitated other arm, he negotiates his other arm into a tight lock, applying a devastating choke hold, cutting off circulation to Griffin's brain and air to his lungs.

That's not possible, it was near simultaneous, the arm breaking and the punch at Beduun's face.

Right, but the punch was still across his body and directed at a defended part of his head, thus making it ineffective.

Me: Lexi!
Alexis: What?!
Me: Nuh-uh. "I" already killed him once. I don't like killing other people's characters.

Me: Great, so neither of our characters is going to kill the other...hmm...that makes the duel lengthy.

Terminus: Who said I wouldn't kill her?

Me: Your development in book two.

Terminus: *sighs* Fiiine.

Me: Maybe I can just have Pavix come in a-

All character: NO!

Me: Or not...

Right, but the punch was still across his body and directed at a defended part of his head, thus making it ineffective.

He was using the suddenness of the move to create an opening when he pulled his arm out and was punching through that opening.

Seymour: I was speaking what? [Grunts and steps back, then slices at Gavin's stomach] Between thinking and acting, acting should be the first that you do, but leave room to quickly assess whether or not you or your enemy will come out unscarred.

Me: Haha. It sounded a lot better in my mind. :D

Chayn: [Twists her head to the side. She stumbles as the rope is pulled. Her wings flare out and beat rapidly, either to keep upright or to make contact with a skulkl or two.]

Rowen: That's a little violent.

Me: Well, you all have been getting rather violent recently.

Suragore: If your eyes simply get sore from having water touch them.

Tynx: So... why're you evil now?

Zurik: I do not care about what she thinks is a worthy measure of worth.

Me: Ooh, good comeback.

Zurik: You're the one who's getting confused! It's not my fault! [Loses his sword, blows Kaida back with a torrent of wind]

Me: Lexicology? It has a name? o.O

Chase: Leave it to you to get wound up in things you don't understand.

Me: I do it a lot.

Cassie: [Blows a raspberry at Zurik]

Zurik: Why you little-

Chase: Oh stop it! You're already in enough trouble with Kaida.

Aelynn: [Watches with interest]

Suragore: [Picks up speed]

Jay: "He said, 'You have five minutes to decide to help me, or you'll watch her pay the price. And trust me-' he leaned forward and looked me in the eye '-you will end up paying the price too.'

'I appreciate you too, Muffin.'

He spat. 'Taunting isn't beneath you, obviously. But no matter: you'll have time to apologize later.' He left with a smug high-and-mighty-attitude that drove me up the wall- and unsettled me."

Shawn: *lurches forward and manages to grab on, hanging halfway off*

Pirzak: "Throw your rope to me, and I'll throw mine to you, and we can tie her down!"

Raczr: *avoids the rapidly beating wings*
