Awesome, Zlynny! :dieshappy:

I meant to mention this this morning, but I hit 50,000 words at about 11:00 last night. :D

Red, you are amazing and an inspiration to us all! :D Well done!

*scatters cookies everywhere*

I'm barely keeping up with my 2k a day goal, as I strained a tendon in my finger (the right third extensor digitorum tendon, if anyone's interested), and have been trying to type without using my right middle finger and/or use my Dragon Naturally Speaking speech to text program. Neither of which is the fastest.

But I'm hanging on! I shall slay this goal!!!

I'm just over 18k now.

Yes, I'm beginning to feel that pinch myself, too  and I'm only about 16,000 words in :P . But it's been very rewarding to write at all, even if the writing is lame and verbose!

It is very nice to write without worrying too much about quality right now. I'm nearly to 8000, and I'm writing for 20 000. My story's going to be done by 15 000, I can tell. :( I'm worrying too much.

As I told someone else, you are only allowed to worry about your NaNo for three hours. Total. During the month. No exceptions.

My motto for the month... "I make this easy to remember - WRITE OR I WILL KILL YOU!"

(Only Pixar fans will find that funny rather than disturbing...)

I have decided to put my NaNo into a coma. Previously, I'd been malnourishing by my only having 529 words since the third day of NaNo. I don't want to kill the story, just put it away til I can return to it at a later time.

I am hereby dropping out of NaNoWriMo at the count of 565 words (I cheated, I counted the words in my new logline as part of the story XD).

I hath made it to 36076, and that is all I shall write for tonight. *Sniffs* What I was writing made me sad. :'( My poor characters!

Quote:
Reaching the clearing, Grace fell down on the grass, a few of her salty tears trickling into her mouth. She didn’t even notice how she had run nearly a mile and didn’t even feel out of breath. There wasn’t anything else to do or think about but weep. Tears poured out of her eyes as Grace lay on the grass, crying for her sister and all the pain in the world.

I doubt you people will fancy a selection of mine, but I'll throw it out there for food anyway.

Quote:
Suddenly two horse heads poked over the side of the canyon and three human heads peered over. Izac waved to them. “We good, my friends! We made it.”
Sesly heard laughing from above. What was so funny? Then there was Dardan’s voice. “We’ll be right down!”
Sesly took a deep breath and rolled onto his stomach. He groaned. “Ugh. I think I just died.”
Izac looked at Abe with a funny smile. “Look! He knows how to crack a joke!” Abe and he laughed. Sesly was not amused. He watched Abe’s smile and Izac’s eyes. Abe’s smile seemed to glow, Izac’s red eyes seemed to grin. What was it about them that made them so connected? He had never felt such that way with another human being.
In a little time, everybody had gotten down by the lake and waterfall. The soldiers snickered again at the sight of Sesly. They teased him.
“Oh, my friend, you’re quite a mess.”
“Did you have fun flying?”
“Passed out, did he? He didn’t drown? Dear me…”
“Pale as a ghost. You’d think he had seen a ghost!”
Sesly raised his hands in defense. “Alright. I’m sorry for being the way I’ve been. I’m not that sorry though…I mean. Stop! This instant! I am your general speaking.”

It's not that good, but it's something I guess.

I hope you get to feeling better Joel! At least you're not giving up on the story! You're just stashing it for later...like candy. Si, si.

God Bless

ELLY! You can't do that to me! Can't you write, just for Del? :beg: :pale: :bawl:

I wasn't able to write on Thanksgiving, so I'm did 3k yesterday and planning for 3k today. That will catch me back up to speed so I can take Sunday off. Then just three more days! :D

I'm trying not to be bored because I don't want to start my ending until 46K, just to be sure I don't end my story short of the 50K. But... that's 4K away!!!

You could always write your ending now, Katie, and then go stick another short story or two in between.

I did 5k today! :dieshappy: So I'll have Sunday off, then just 4k to do before Wednesday. I'll probably try to get that done by Tuesday so I have a day to make up in case NaNo disagrees about my word count. I've heard horror stories about that. o.O

It depends on what you're writing in. I've always used Word and never had a problem. OO tends to over count, but not by much. Have no idea about everything else. I guess I'll just have to go find some Lorum Ipsum for mine, or maybe use last years nano?

You know more than I do! I haven't validated on the site before, so I don't know how close my version of Word will be. We'll find out on Tuesday or Wednesday morning, yes?

Thanks, Jonathan!
