I'm currently at 14,500 something and plan on catching up in time... (hopefully quick time).

I want to know about Emeth and Esmeralda. We have heard little of their endeavors here of late.

We are slowing down. Haha. Lady E got sick, and I got stuck.

And although I have been able to pick back up a bit, I am still waaaay behind. Sadly. And I don't have a current count yet, sorry.

I'm working on a second novel, so I hope that my hands are not sore at the end of November.

A second novel? You finished the first? Go you!

Today I spent some time rearranging my novel. I figured out how to connect act 2 to 3, so I made the necessary adjustments and edits. I am getting a clearer picture of how I want the bulk of act 2 to go as well (the sequence of events), so I'm happy and grateful. Close to 30,000 words...

I would, except I spent my writing time earlier and now have to do other things for the remainder of the day. I did, however, clear 35,000 words tonight! Note to self: action scenes take more words than dramatic scenes with lots of dialog. Try to write more action.

I do want to try one of your word wars sometime before the month is out, though, Varon.

I have a little over 60,000 words at the moment. Due to a whole week of illness, I had to put a lot of writing projects on hold. Thus, this week, I am finishing up those writing projects before returning to my book.

I currently have 31,766 words. I'm neither ahead nor behind, just average.

Great job so far! You can defeat the dragon of Microsoft Word processing! (No offense intended, George.)

George says none taken. ;)

I just passed 30k! :D  :D Next stop, 40k, then on to the winner's circle (I hope).

My one suggestion to, well, everybody; get a writing buddy! They really work. *hugs Willow*

*Halfway hugs Andrew, partly because were both guys and partly because he's only sort of a writing buddy.*

I think one reason I am done with my 50,000 words is because I had a writing buddy that I wanted to get ahead of. I like to compete. :D

I plan on not going to sleep until I hit 40k, and then repeating the same action for the next few nights until I finish. I've said it before and I'll say it again; this smiley fits my optic state pretty well right now:  I've become temporarily myopic. At least, I hope it's temporary...

Actually, airplane. And we leave on Wednesday. But either way, I'm done! One less thing to stress about! Yay!

In light of the fact that I created some confusion concerning my previous post about the peanut gallery, I thought it would be appropriate to derail, but not really derail, the thread for a moment.

Now a days the Peanut Gallery is used as somewhat of a negative term, but in the days of theater, the Peanut Gallery was referred to as the Claque. It was an organized group who would cheer performers on with great enthusiasm, or boo with great vigor if they were so inclined. The Claques were replaced by the Peanut Gallery in later years when peanuts were handed out in theaters as the cheapest snacks served. Often times boos would be accompanied by thrown peanuts, thus they replaced the name Claques with the Peanut Gallery. Because of the negative association with peanuts for the performers, the term became more of a negative one instead of a positive one. However, I meant it in the best sense possible, and I was sure if I called myself the Claque no one would know what I was talking about. :D

There are those of us who cannot participate in Nano, for various reasons, and we have set ourselves up as sideline cheerers to encourage you all along the way. Thus I referred to us as the Peanut Gallery, happily cheering on our fellow brethren towards their performances. Hope that cleared up any confusion.

I'm almost done! I have about 2000 more words to write and then I'll be finished. I am in desperate need of word sprint buddies, so if you are on and you'd like to do a sprint, pm me or drop into the chat room; I lurk there often. :D

See ya'll in the winner's circle. ;)

I have about 2,500 words left... all of which will be spent summarizing the plot I won't have time to write out in detail. (Which is at least half the book, if not more...) :D Normally I would probably just draft random scenes for the remainder of the words, but I'm under "contract" to submit my NaNo draft to a writing group when the month is over. So in the interest of making the draft sensible I thought I'd better summarize the plot that doesn't exist yet.
