Thysal - (gently pokes Tanner with a claw) Like that?

Rahor - (claps a paw over his eyes) Thysal, his author just explicitly said not to do that.

Thysal - Exactly. Hey Chayn, if you want help in tickling Azriel, I volunteer!

Rahor - I can't believe this.

Zanya - (looks down at Jay) Umm . . . Wow.

Sabre - *glares at me* DON'T get any ideas.

Zanya - He's adorable! :)

Sabre -

Niarah - I hope our authors are good at healing. (withdraws the upper end and slashes upwards with the lower end of her staff) I think we're both going to need it.

Me: so what were the creatures in the post above me?

Tanner: *knocks the claw to the side with a hand block.*

Elanhil: Sword, Chase? Let's have Griffin in as well.

Merashath: *Rolls in the dirt, trying to smush Raedon*

Hadwin. *firmly plants his feet.* I'm ready Philip. What kind of magic do you use?

Raedon: *jumps clear, shifting as he does so, shapes a lion and jumps on Merashath before he can get up, aiming for his throat*

Jathan: Raedon's fighting tactics are improving.

Telvia: Merashath just doesn't give up... he's strong...

Me: Great. My FMC is admiring a villain.

Trina: Are there any other slaves here? It would be interesting to talk to another slave that lives in a different world.

Me: Ooo, that would be interesting.

Raedon: *hits the ground, changes shape again, and comes back to his feet as a human*

Raedon: I am really, really, really tired of this...

Me: Say 'Uncle'.

Raedon: I am not giving in.

Me: Oh boy, this is going to be a loooong duel...

Aaron: I'll do it if you let me.

Me: I don't know.

Aaron: *shrug* I'd enjoy it. Kimun, I think more people would be willing to duel you if you weren't so ... invincible. And if you would take defeat every once in a while.

Iri: *indignant* Why?

Aaron: *refuses to answer*

Me: Well, I'm all excited after watching that LXD duel, so I might just... hmm...

Chase: Cool, let's get started, then.

Chayn: [To Thysal] Cool. We should probably be careful with our talons, though. It wouldn't do to give him holes.

Cory: You might end up having Pernoxnix attack you.

Cassie: I wanna be tickled!

Chase: ???

Seymour: I agree. [Brings his staff down to block]

Cassie: I wanna dance!

Me: No. You have no weapon or magic. You stay put and have fun with friends. Where did Tynx go again?

Cory: You lose him a lot, don't you?

Me: That does tend to happen, doesn't it?

Griffin: Let's get started then. (stands with the sword in both hands in front of him) Chase, I just wanted to let you know I'm not gonna hold back cause of some newbie. If you want to pull out that's fine, I won't hold you any lower in my esteem.

Tesra: That's mean! Calling him names!

Griffin: He said it first himself.

Phillip: It's rather hard to explain. There's a better explanation in buried somewhere in 'Magic' under Melcorats. But basically I'm able to use things around to either create new substances. For example, I could sap water vapor out of the air and turn it into liquid water. I can also change the shape of something as long as it keeps the same volume, but that's it. So I can also run out of things to use, theoretically, although some things, such as sunlight, for example, are not going to be exhausted until their source is destroyed.

Tesra: Excuse him, he's rather long-winded.

Me - @Riniel: Thysal is an ice dragon with an attitude . . .

Thysal - Hey!

Me - And Rahor and Niarah are Ilarian Snow Leopards. Ashrai is an Ananthi assassin. Zanya is a Felanai shapeshifting sort of thing.

Zanya - *snort*

Me - And Sabre is mere human.

Sabre - Gee. Thanks.

Thysal - @Tanner; You're fiesty, little one. @Chayn; *sheaths her claws* Right, who should we tickle first? :D

Sabre - Uh-oh. (moves to the opposite side of the room) I'll stay over here, thanks.

Zanya - Kian, Shawn! Lets team up on Iri!

Niarah - (Steps back, panting) I'm ready to call a truce when you are. But if you wish to keep going, I'm still game.

Ashrai - You never admit defeat, do you, maid?

Niarah - Seymour is an honorable opponant, Ashrai. I could say less for some felines I know.

Ashrai - *smiles impassively*

Tanner: I feel you Sabre, being a mere human isn't always that fun, it's hard to control a lot that happens to you.

Pernoxnix: I've never met a mere human... they're supernatural creatures yet they give that credit to naturals such as myself and my fellow creatures.

Hadwin: *Strokes chin* I remember reading that somewhere.

Me: How? When I read it you weren't even thought of yet.

Hadwin: I found an archive in your brain. --Actually, the magic in Menbie is similar. There are three kinds. One, which is matter. Wizlings can normally only control light, concentrating it or magnifying it, taking it from wherever, sometimes finding it in dark places. More advanced wizlings can change the structure of molecules in the air, creating force fields etc. Elanhil is one such wizling. The other two kinds of magic have to do with mind and spirit, but I won't use those in order to be fair.

Merashath: You may be wasting your time. *Tackles Raedon, and bites him.*

Me: Only a sinless being can defeat him. He can be momentarily be chased away by something perfect yielded by an imperfect being, like the light of heaven. If only you had used that a little bit longer.

Merashath: *glares at me*

Elanhil: *Raises tip of his sword, and then moves back in a defensive stance.*

Me: Ummm, we've missed a bunch. Oh well, we'll catch up won't we?

Charlotte: Of course we will! :D

Lucius to Azriel: *flushes scarlet in annoyance* Delighted my apology was accepted by you.

Charlotte: I don't understand why so many people are being tickled.

Me: I don't think there are lots of people being tickled, Charlotte, just a few.

Lucius: Goodness, I fear tickling anyone of our age in our time period would be considered very inappropriate.

Me: Then aren't you two lucky you won't have to be tickled? ;D

Charlotte: Yes. ^^

Lucius: Yes. :)

Jathan: *watches Raedon and Merashath bite at each other* Doesn't he ever wear out?

Me: Um... yes. With detrimental effects.

Jathan: when? This is dragged out long enough, why don't you just call him back? Like Elanhil said, you're wasting your time.

Me: *snaps* what do you know about anything?

Jathan: I'm trying to act wise and mature.

Me: *calms down* Oh.

Me: *still can't remember who my dancing character is. Is annoyed at such lack of memory. Wants to bring in Morgon, but daren't open that book lest my Nanowrimo novel suffer.*

Telvia: that's a lot of actions and few words...

Invincibility is an illusion. A veneer of deception that is cast up by skilled warriors to defeat the minds and hearts of their opponents before their bodies meet. A skilled warrior plans his combats in such a way that his full strength is hidden, so that his enemies do not know how much he has in reserve."

In other words, he is bluffing. He has actually been pretty lucky so far. Honestly. Haha.

Merashath: ??? What's the matter with demon lords?

Me: a LOT. Oooh, maybe YOU could duel Kimun. If he uses his evil sword that could be to your advantage. But you're in a duel right now.

Merashath: Oh, yeah. *Returns to ripping out Raedon's organs*

Me: Sorry, gory detail.

Jathan: Aren't you going to do something?

Me: Why are you looking at me? It's Raedon's duel.

Jathan: Um.... :?

Me: Look, he's got a choice. Yield, or wear himself out.

Jathan: Okay. Whatever.

Me: Oh, Lady E. I almost forgot. Lord of the Dance is cool!! But what I was talking about was the Lord of the Dance Fanfic. It is awesome. :D Long complex story about it though, and it's not online any more. :(

Aaron: *glance at me* What kind of dancing?

Iri: I dance too. As the son of Lord Fairivel I'm sure I am trained more thoroughly than a little country boy. @Zanya:  No!

Kian: Yes!!

Aaron: A worthy speech, Kimun, but I was being sarcastic. If you would be around us for any period of time I'm afraid you will have to get used to it.

Me: @Jaynin: Oh. And I thought I was being cool for knowing what Lord of the Dance is. :? *thinks* I should bring in Fairivel.

Iri: What?

Me: *rubs hands* Yea! That would create some friction around here. *to other authors* Iri and his father aren't on the best of terms. Ciela, you know what I mean. ;) So should I bring him? (I might also bring in Aaron's father, Kherin, to develop him a little.)

Me: @Lady E. You are cool for knowing. And you'd love the fanfic. *goes back to scheming about it...*

Telvia: What was he doing with the blaster thing?

Jathan: @me: Shouldn't you be working on your nano?

Me: I don't want to. I want to work on Last Wizard. Playing in here is a form of compromise. Doing neither. :D

Telvia: That's the most pointless thing I've ever heard of in my life.

Me: Don't I know it.

Me - Oooh, yes Lady E, you should bring in Fairivel.

Sabre - Who?

Me - Pay attention to the conversation, Sabre.

Sabre - You need a life.

Zanya - (smiles sweetly at Iri) @Kian: Ready? Where's Shawn when we need her?

Thysal - I'll stay out of this one.

Chayn: [Squirms with energy] I want to tickle an elf! Is Seymour ticklish?

Me: No idea. DOn't try it, though. I'd rather not have a headless dragon to clean up.

Seymour: I'm not that brutal. [To Niarah] I'm ready to call it quits whenever you are.

Me: You do realize that won't get you anywhere? You're both as persistent as Raedon and Merashath.

Seymour: I am not stubborn.

Me: No, but you might be a bit on the proud side. Yes! Bring in Iri's dad!

Cory: She'll say yes to that questions every time.

Tynx: Haha.

Chase: [Slashes sword downward to get used to it] Alright, let's do it.

Rob: Good luck out there, kid. [Aside to Timothy] Tim, are you crazy for letting him duel? He's up against two skilled folks here, I heard about the duels they've been in!

Timothy: He'll be fine. Aris has given him duel-only experience.

Cassie: Go, Chase, go! I'm gonna go play with everybody else. [Runs off to where all the tickling/plotting tickling is taking place] I want to tickle Iri too!

Me: Poor guy.

Merashath: Where is Raedon? I don't see him in Jaynin's post.

Elanhil: I am ready. *looks at Chase* You ready for this kid?

Me: You can stop trying to sound all cool, Elanhil.

Elanhil: Hmm? What?

Me: You're no more than a kid yourself.

Me: Raedon's always where you least expect him.

Jathan: Authoress, what he's asking is...

Me: I'm done with you guys. Shoo, out. I lost the battle not to look at my other book during Nanowrimo, and so... I'm working on that.

Telvia: Bye everybody! Nice seeing you!

Jathan: But Authoress...

*they leave, waving and protesting*

Me: All right, new charries.

Jathan: *pops back in*

Me: what??

Jathan: Where is Raedon?

*everyone looks at Merashath*

Me: *plaintively* He was there a second ago...

Jathan: How do you loose your own character?

Me: Oh, hush up and let me think!

Me: the characters you know the longest can be a persistent bunch can they not?

Pernoxnix: Speaking of, you've known Kaida the longest, why are her visits so infrequent?

Me: She needs time to come out of her shell so I sent her to hunt shepao for a while. She'll be back not long after you make it to camp.

Pernoxnix: I trust you sent Aren along behind her? His services will be required when she slays her beast.

Tanner: Who's Aren?

Pernoxnix: I believe you will enjoy his company when you make his acquaintance Tahn. He's a very noble raptor.

Me: as in eagle, as in anthrogryph, as in human/eagle, as in basically a gryphon... You'll Love Him Folks!

Tanner: why does everyone in this world call me Tahn?

Me: I feel somewhat strange having the fewest amount of characters on this thread presently.

Charlotte: I notice nothing strange about it.

Lucius: At this time it would be difficult to bring in any other characters. Seeing as Charlotte and I are the only ones in the story so far.

Me: Hey! The maid, the doctor, and Charlotte's mom had brief moments in the short story!

Lucius: Oh yes, they were very important. Do you know their names?

Me: ...

Charlotte: X3

Lucius: My point has been made.

Me: -_-;;

Charlotte: *bright eyes* Did someone say dancing?

Lucius: I believe so.

Me: Hahaha! Dancing duels, who woulda known? ;)

Chase: [Smiles] Bring it.

Sophia: He certainly has an eager desire to battle, doesn't he?

Rob: He's a good kid, he'll whomp ya'll flat.

Timothy: And I suppose you would do more.

Rob: You bet. I'd send 'em flyin' into the next county before they knew what happened.

Chayn: Humans can be so overconfident

Cory: To say nothing of dragons.

Chayn: What's that supposed to mean?

Seymour: [Smacks Cory lightly with the flat of his blade] Respect those who can kill you.

Cory: So... that means everyone?

Seymour: Aye, even ladies.

Cory: I know that.

Tynx: [To Tanner] It sounds heroic.

Me: And you would know?

Tynx: I would, actually. I am smart. Aris knows a Tanner.

Ponkin: Whoa-

Me: AGH! Who let him in here?!

Tynx: [Yelps asnd scrambles backward] What is it?!

Cory: It's a squirrel, guys. Chill. I don't think it'll kill you.

Me: Oh boy. I didn't say to come here. I'm not even sure you should have story.

Ponkin: But, but, but you have me all written up. And, and everyone else. Lars, Sulie, Judah, even the red-eyed watchamacallems!

Me: The red-eyed animals ares Fossas. You can stay, but NO getting into trouble. I already have my hands full with Tynx and Mordir.

Ponkin: I won't, I promise! I'll be very good, so good you won't even know I'm here! I won't cause trouble at all. I'll, I'll go looks for nuts! Bye! [Darts off]

Cory: ... You should've named him Whirlwind.

Tynx: He has me breathless, and I wasn't even the one talking.

Me: He's a Eurasian red squirrel. He and others were gonna be a story for my blog, but I'm rethinking that.

Tynx: Spare your blog readers. Don't make them suffer what we have to go through.

Me: I will hurt you. You're lucky no one else slipped through. Lars especially. He's a grizzly bear with five kids. All except one are five years old in human years.

Ponkin: Or IHY, as you call it.

Me: That too.

Zanya - Fine, I'll leave him alone. (eyes Eruwaedhiel) Don't want to get on anyone's bad side, especially not an author's.

Me - Wise move, Zanya.

Thysal - (tosses her head) Dragons are never overconfident. We always win, so why be cautious? I mean, seriously.

Rahor - *cough cough* Sure.

Niarah - (bows to Seymour) If you consent, I believe we should call it a tie and be done. You're an excellent warrior, my friend.

Rahor - That civility wasn't present beforehand.

Me - It's amazing what duelling does to someone.

Rahor - Oh please.

Me - I volunteer Rahor if anyone wants to duel!

Rahor - Wait, what?

Me:@Thysal: I wouldn't be too sure of yourself. I personally am acquainted with several dragons who've been soundly beaten in a fair fight.

Jathan: Interesting, usually the authors let the characters talk to each other. I've never seen an author directly address someone else's character...

Me: You shut up.

Jathan: Have you found Raedon yet?

Me:

Chase: [Side-steps, ducking, and bringing his sword up to slide Elanhil's away. Then tenses and prepares to block Griffin's, but relaxes] Three-way dueling should be fun. [Steps quietly behind Griffin and slashes downward from behind]

Me: That was tricky.

Chase: Hey, three-way dueling. Your back is turned, you take the chances.

Timothy: Chase.

Chase: I'm not cheating. Promise.

Chayn: Yeah. We have wings. Arrows hardly dent a scale, and we have fire. Well, I have poison.

Thysal - (predictably sniffs the squirrel) Do nuts contain caffeine?

Zanya - @Ponkin; Oh, you are so adorable!

Sabre - Girls.

Rahor - (glares at Me) I guess I have no choice then. Ravork, if you are ready, you may take the first strike. I can promise you that you'll regret wearing that feline skin.

Niarah - (leaning casually on her staff) Good luck, Rahor. Fight well, Ravork.

Rahor - (Draws his longsword, and takes up a battle stance) On guard!

Ashrai - Here we go.
