There is some strange things going on with these balls... balls hanging mid-air, balls suddenly changing direction, and balls magically changing location without being thrown, as well as balls throwing themselves. Oh well, this list is mostly correct. I think.

I think I said all the guys who were out were in, which was probably not a good idea on my part, I should have done a list like this first. what I meant was that all the guys who were out before we added team members should be back in and there's been a lot of action since then and I'm not quite sure what to do about it. Charlotte: That was amazing, Lucius! *claps her hands excitedly*

Me: Wowza! I must say, I was laughing out loud in real life seeing what was coming to Lucius. XD XD XD

It has taken much work to get it there, Ariana. To make things easier on Aaron, the sea ball is flying at Aidan. I decree it.

Elanhil: It's nice to meet you. [holds out hand]

Me: LOOK OUT!

[blue ball sails over Elanhil's head]

Elanhil: I thought that was sitting on the floor....HEY!!

Me: [innocent grin] What?

Elanhil: [hands orange ball to Lucius, and grabs blue ball. Runs over to me and throws it as hard as he can]

[ball falls harmlessly to the floor.]

Elanhil: [snatches up blue ball and hurls it at Griffin] Let me help you out there, buddy.

Lucius: A pleasure to meet you too. *shakes Elanhil's offered hand* Thanks for the ammunition. *Grabs orange ball.*

Me: Ooooo! Griffin's gonna geeeet iiiit! *clucks tongue*

Lucius: *throws orange ball at Griffin*

Charlotte: This is really quite comical to watch! *has abandoned dueling it out with Lucius*

Me: Woo hoo! My favorite double team! Elanhil and Lucius! Side note: I can't tell you how many times this thing between Elanhil, Lucius, and Griffin has made me laugh in real life! Good thing no one's around me when I'm laughing. XD



Lucius: Why, thank you. I think this is going to be a beautiful friendship. *smirks*

Me: Oh boy, this'll get interesting!

Griffin: So that's how it is huh?

Ravork: This should be fun to watch.

(Ravork sits back and watches while Griffin runs to meet the incoming balls; he snatches the orange and silver balls out of the air and does and half spin to knock the blue ball away sending it sailing in a random direction. He then quickly sends the orange and silver ball away back toward Lucius and Elanhil at a marvelous speed)

Griffin: (shouting) Now you guys are gonna get it!!! (more quietly) I hope they realize I'm not human.

Elanhil: [Runs forward toward the orange ball. Just as he is about to catch it, he drops down on his knees and slides under it. He then dives on the blue ball and, jumping up, hurls it at Griffin]

Me: (whispers to Griffin [author] so characters can't hear) If he isn't human, what is he?

Merashath: [runs over and scoops up orange ball flew directly past where Elanhil's head used to be. Hurls ball at Tesmir]

Hadwin(to Cassie): My author recently told me that his brother looked up how to spell 'h' on something called the 'internet'. It is spelled a-i-t-c-h.

Ohstel: [Lays down and goes to sleep]

Me: I guess those colorful balls have a hypnotic effect. BTW, where's Jade?

Jade: I'm over here. I can't believe these people all acting like lunatics. [speck of dust falls to her sleeve] OH! [quickly brushes speck off.]

Me:

Jade: I SAW THAT!!

Me: You didn't see anything.

Jade: Wait, what did I see?

Me: teehee!

Me: (quietly) He's Kundinoua, a sort of elite race, you have to go to Peoples, Races and Tribes to get a full description, it would be in the back.

Griffin: (nonchalantly grabs the blue out of the air) This is getting ridiculous. (throws it back at Elanhil anyway)

Matt: Wait, I am out? Oh, well!

Ravork: I would like to throw a ball every now and then!

Lucius: *lets silver ball whir past him as it now directs itself to Charlotte* There you go, fair lady.

Charlotte: *jaw drops* Lucius?! *quickly snaps back into the game and catches silver ball against herself*

Me: What? Did you expect he would never throw one at you?

Charlotte: Well, he has been rather occupied with his gentleman's battle over there. *gestures to Lucius, Elanhil, and Griffin*

Me: At least he's keeping you on your toes. *shrugs*

Lucius: Skillful move, Elanhil, sliding under the orange ball.

Charlotte: *with a determined face she launches the silver ball at Telvia*

Lucius to Griffin: To be perfectly honest, I did not know your specific race. Thank you for informing us.

Charlotte: Goodness, Jade, you're very high maintenance, aren't you?

Me: All right, time to liven things up in here. Raedon? *looks around confused* Raedon?

*there is a rush of wings and a large dragon descends from the ceiling somewhere startling Telvia*

*immediatly upon landing the dragon shifts into*

*a leopard like creature with purple spots. It roars and become Kendri's long lost twin sister- *

*which immediatly shifts into a duplicate of Merashath which becomes-- *

Me: We're going to tie him up.

Raedon: No! *freezes half way between a three eyed, green looking laien and Tynx*

Raedon: Sorry. *becomes a young man with brown hair, and blue eyes*

Telvia: What shape do you like most? Is it really wonderful being able to fly? Do you like being animal shapes? What do animals think about you when you're in their shape? Can you talk in any shape?

Raedon: I like almost all the shapes I take. I can't say there's a favorite... unless it's none of them, the freedom of changing freely which no one *pointed look in my direction* will let me do. Flying is just one of the wonders of what I can do. Animals are very limited, and not very bright. They can't tell the difference between me and one of my kind. I can only speak in a shape that is equipped for speaking. But I can talk to you with my mind.

Me: This talking to myself business is useful... I think I'll let you stay.

Raedon: *begins to shift*

Elanhil: [While rushing towards the blue ball, he sees the orange ball also coming at him. He drops to his knees, holding his hands up, where a bright burst of light meets the balls as they both go circling back towards Griffin, dropping suddenly, corkscrewing, etc.]

Me: ELANHIL!!! NO MAGIC!!!

Elanhil: I had to.

Me: *Glares* OH YEAH!!!

Steve: [begins to walk toward Raedon, but begins to tremble, takes a step back, then hobbles back to me.]

Me: It's ok.

Steve: [sitting in my arms with his head stuck in my arm, trembling] H-h-h-hhh-hh-i-ii-i.

Jade: [looks on with disgust] I want to go home.

Dani: *runs over to Steve* Don't be scared, he won't hurt you. (aside) I think Jade needs a time out.

Griffin: (picks up green ball and hands it to Tesra and then picks up blue ball to hold on to) Hold that.

Chase does too, and Daddy, but Daddy says that I have to have a big person watch me when I want to use it. [Runs over to Jade and pulls her over to the other dodgeball observers] You can talk with us!

Hakor: Howdy.

Gail: Are you able to turn into plants as well, Raedon?

Tynx: Barely? I.... yeah, it was barely.

Me: But you still did pretty well.

Gail: How many people are on the team? I try to listen, but it's hard to tell one side from another.

Me: Fourteen, I think.

Me: how many are on each team? Um.. a lot. I think.

Telvia: giggles.

Me: *sees that Raedon's still holding the ball* Here, give me that. *hands it to Telvia.*

Gail: [Laughs slightly] From the sound of it, there must be. And, I hear at least two young ladies also playing? Be careful out there. Men can become reckless when in the midst of playful competition.

Me: SInce when did you become so smart? You're supposed to have more of an irritating good humor personality.

Gail: Since I got blinded saving a fair maiden (I won't be naming any names as to whose fault THAT was). I can be irritating and good humored when I want.

Elanhil: [As the orange ball approaches Elanhil it slows down till it's moving in slow motion, and finally stops, hanging in midair. Elanhil casually picks it up and hurtles it at Griffin.]

Me: NO MAGIC!!!!

Elanhil: What's the harm in a little magic?

Me: It's against forum rules! No magic from now on!!

He then tosses it to Matt) Okay, before I proceed, Elanhil must promise not to use magic. (grabs the purple ball from the air, where it seems to be suspended) Okay Chase, wait for my signal to throw the ball at Elanhil.

Dani: See? Elanhil took my advice!

Aryn: How dangerous of him to do so.

Dani:

Wait, what's this about people following Merashath's advice? I don't remember giving any advice.

Elanhil: Uh-oh.

Me: Don't worry, if he uses magic, he'll automatically be out.

Elanhil:

Jade: [merely turns around and sits watching]

Hadwin: Sometimes I can't figure out daughters of rich government people.

Kendri: *forgets about the ball* Oooh! *sees Ohstel* A kitty! We have a cat, but he's really fat and all he ever does is sleep. Sometimes he twitches, though.


Believe me, I know. Last time I played this game I got hit square in the face with a ball. Boy, could those guys throw... Thankfully, virtual games do not run the risk of causing physical injuries.

I've never got hit in the face with a dodgeball (although I've got hit by 20-something-year-old guys in the arms and legs), but I did get slammed in the face with a soccer ball this past winter.

Me: Sad. What happen to the amazing force of Elanhil and Lucius vs Griffin? XD

Charlotte: I disagree with that statement.

Elanhil: It doesn't HAVE to be over...just postponed.

Hadwin: Oh, yes. We get lots of gems and other valuable things from our mines. Most recently we found a very strange chemical that we use to fire guns. But I don't go down in the mines very much. In fact, very few dwarfs do. Some go down and mine, others make things from what was mined, and others sell it. Like me.

Hadwin: JADE, I'm not one to loose my temper easily, but you have thrown me over the edge!! now shut your mouth and DO NOT say anything, unless you have something nice to say.

Me: Ok, Hadwin, there's a better solution to this. Jade, if you say anything about the social ladder and how you are so rich and everything, I will personally write you out of my story and find a replacement.

Hadwin: We make them, in the workshop. I don't make them, I only sell them. I got this one as payment. I only have two shots, gunpowder is so expensive.

Jathan: *throws the orange ball at Kendri.* There, happy?

Me: She's on your team.

Telvia: *laughs hysterically* Why do you keep doing that, Jathan? You're making the authoress mad! *she pets the random cat at her feet.* Oh look, a kitty.

Me: Where's Raedon? *stares at cat suspiciously*

Raedon: cats seem to be popular.

Me: I'm losing control over my characters...

Me: I thought Chase had the orange ball. (blows whistle, then gives the orange ball back to Chase) There, sorry Kendri, I'll get a ball flying at you soon.

Griffin: Now Chase!!! (Throws the blue and purple balls at Elanhil, then has Matt and Tesra toss him their sea and green balls, which he sends in the same direction. He then snatches the ball from Raedon) Let me help you out Janin!

Me: Griffin! That was rude!

Griffin: Sorry. (Throws ball at Elanhil anyway)

Me: Ease up there, Cassandra. Hadwin, keep a good grip on the gun, goodness knows what she'll do.

Gail: I hope you both weren't too badly hurt?

Griffin: No! Chase! You were suppose to throw the ball at Elanhil!

Tesra: It's OK Griffin, the world hasn't ended.

Matt: The end of the world!!

Griffin: (simply grabs the ball flying toward him and hurls it toward Elanhil again) Don't interfere, it'll be interesting to see how he handles it without magic. (leans against the wall, whistling)

Ravork: Ooh, sounds fun.

Tesra: You do realize he's on your team Ravork, right?

Ravork: Yes, but it still is fun to watch.

Chase: Sorry!

Cory: [Kicks the ball off course and toward Elanhil, but lands on his side] No use havin' a fit over it. ....ow...

Me: [Sticks tongue out at Hakor]

So, 6/8 balls are flying at Elanhil, right? This will be interesting....

Elanhil: [Elanhil jumps in the air, and catches the blue ball. The Purple ball soars under him, as does the Green one. When he lands, he holds out the Blue ball to deflect the Green one, which hits the Blue ball at the exact same time as the Sea ball. This happens with so much force that it knocks Elanhil to the ground. But he's done it. He lays down and holds both fists in the air.]

Merashath: LOOK OUT!!!

[The orange ball comes in with a high arc and bounces off of Elanhil's fist. Merashath dives to catch it before it hits the ground, but it's no use. Elanhil is out.]

Merashath: I will GET you, Griffin!!

Jade: [Jaw dropping] How was such a thing accomplished by a co-

Me: Jade....

Jade: by, uh, how was it accomplished?

Elanhil: [sitting down with Hadwin and Cassie and Co. Staring at his feet]

Hadwin: You have to pay attention to the smallest of details, boy.

Elanhil: I know, I know. I'm sorry.

Hadwin(@Cassie): I live in the forest near the foot of the mountain that is over our mine. Sometimes I go underground, but not too often.

This conversation with Hadwin and Cassie is really helping me figure out the basic structure of the dwarf mines. Keep the questions coming!

Lucius: Elanhil, my friend, I apologize for my lack of assistance. >< I will avenge your...out-ness? *catches red ball and hurtles it at Griffin*

Charlotte: That was horrible of Griffin!

Me: You know he's on your team, right?

Charlotte: *pouting face* Yes, but that was horrible unfair all the same.

Lucius: *glances to side and sees Chase throw orange ball.* Tch. *clenches teeth together then meets ball head, side-steps so he's side-by-side with it--out of danger of getting hit--and grabs it out of the air looking pretty cool, in my opinion. *

Charlotte: Wonderful, Lucius!

Me: Shouldn't you be cheering for you team?

Charlotte: *silent* ...Yes, but I want to cheer for Lucius too. *looks at Griffin and Chase apologetically* Well thrown, gentlemen. *smiles*

Me: So kind, Charlotte.

Me: @Jathan: Now look what you did! You threw the wrong ball!

Jathan: Not my fault. You're the one who typed the words "Jathan throws the orange ball at Kendri"

Me: Yeah, but you're the one who threw it!

Jathan: You wanted me to!

Me; not the orange one, the- the- oh well, never mind. It's not here now.

*Looks around suspiciously* Where's Raedon?

Telvia: *stares in wonder at all the balls flying at Elanhil* Wow....

Raedon: you were looking for me?

Me: yes. Where were you?

Raedon: Just wandering about in the other posts.

Me: You're not supposed to do that. There's a barrier.

Raedon: *laughs*

Me: Look, if you can't obey the rules you're going to have to leave. You too, Jathan. Understand?

Telvia: Wow...

Mordir and Jek:

Cory: Holy cow, he dodged all of those?

Chase: The orange ball hit.

Tesmir: Still, that was impressive. You and Griffin need to team up more.

Me: So... where's the orange ball now?

Tynx: No idea.

Cassie: Are you hurt, Mr. Elanhil? [Hugs him and gives him a light kiss on the cheek] Don't be sad. You were really cool! You were just getting teamed up on.

Chase: How was supposed to know they were all going at him?

Cory: If it makes you feel better, Elanhil, you should score points for dodging those balls like you did.

Tesmir: You're on our team.

Cassie: [To Hadwin] Why don't you live underground?

Tynx: Aw, let Raedon stay! He's fun!

Me: Don't encourage him.

Dani: Don't feel bad, Elanhil. That was really cool!

Aryn: Yeah, don't take it too hard. *gasp* The end of the world!

Dani: Noo! Raedon can't leave! That would be sad! I want him to look like a secret agent!

Me:

Aryn: I would like the freedom to browse other posts as well.

Me: Um, you lost the privilege when sneaking someone who had lost the privilege *glances at Dani* around the barrier.

Dani: Hi Steve! Aryn, look out for that stray ball!

Aryn: Ack! *ducks. the ball dissolves into nothing.* Oh, yeah, a stray ball.

Me: Hrm.

Dani: You looked funny, Aryn!

Aryn and Dani: No thanks.

Griffin: Nice job Chase! (high fives Chase) Next is Lucius. (creepy grin, catches red ball and tosses it to Chase) Here you go! (then he picks up the purple and green balls and throws them at Lucius)

Ravork: Finally! I can throw a ball! (picks up silver ball and chucks it at Cory) Take that!

Matt: Ooh, creepy face. I can do it to!

Phillip: I think Ravork gets into to this game a little to much.

Elanhil: You can just call me Elanhil. Thanks, everyone.

Merashath: Don't worry, I shall avenge you.

Me: You're not supposed to be this nice, Merashath. Try that smiley.

Merashath: Ooh, I like it!

Hadwin: We don't live underground because the whole underground system is dedicated to mining. Mostly we live in stone houses near the entrance to the mine. Two armed men stand watch, so woe is he who tries to enter without permission.

Dodgeball? I give up...
