Welcome to week sixty-six of the weekly challenge. :) The challenge this week is to write an essence map of a vanilla ice cream cone.just because the idea popped into my head and I couldn't get it out; and nobody can stop me from making it the challenge.
BONUS CHALLENGE FOR CAMP NANO: Put a monkey riding a bicycle in your story. :dieshappy: Can just be a picture or something if you're going for something more realistic. ;) (2 points for doing this challenge)
As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. All challenges (personal or weekly) must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

If this is your first time on one of these quests, you'll need to see the initiation pamphlet.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:
Goal: weekly challenge (or whatever you decide to do)
Timezone: PDT

I'm definitely planning on joining in more frequently! And now that I mull over it... (okay, not really ;) ) the picture will fit perfectly in my quirky character's room. :D

Personal goal: 5,000 words for NaNo
Bonus Camp NaNo goal
EST

Essence maps are confusing enough for me without trying to do one of an ice cream cone. :P

Personal Challenge: Edit Jacob's Chapters up to the 'Consequences for Actions' chapter.
Timezone: EST

You can learn about it over here: viewforum.php?f=33 It doesn't have to be that hard if you do a freestyle map. :) (no pressure to do the challenge, but I don't wanna leave you guys not knowing how to do it if you're interested. If you want to you can ask me a specific question in PM and I'll try to answer, but I'm not an expert on it, at all :P)

Yeah; I've read Jay's explanation of it and have done essence maps for my MCs, but still think I'm pretty bad at it. =P Course, maybe I just need more practice on it... On second thought, then...

Weekly Challenge is now accepted. I might regret this by the end of the week, but we'll see what I can do with it.

Sort of, yes. :D It's based on your point of view. If you think an ice cream cone would light up your day you would use metaphors that would communicate that (e.g. 'sun on green grass')
