Welcome to week fifty-three!

Y'all got it easy last week, so now it's time to work hard. Right? Right!

Your challenge this week is to find a novella/long short story, "discard"not literally every other page, and use the remaining pages to write a new story. Length is at your discretion, but must be longer than a drabble.Don't look at me like that. I didn't come up with it, I just borrowed it.

As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. All challenges (personal or weekly) must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

If this is your first time on one of these quests, you'll need to see the initiation pamphlet.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:
Goal: weekly challenge (or whatever you decide to do)
Timezone: PDT

Does the novella have to be published or can it be unpublished? *is slightly confused*

Personal goal: edit 3 chapters of WIP

The novella should be published. You can also use a novel, if you want, but I thought something short would be easier.

Personal goal(s): Finish reading the edited version of my short fiction collection; read the second chapter of my geography textbook at least three times so it'll actually stick in my head before the quiz. :P
