And a new week begins!

Your challenge for week forty-six is to write a minimum 500 word short story or scene based on the picture below. Show us what you write? :beg:

BONUS goal!: Enter the flash fiction writing contest.

Remember, in order to receive points for completing the weekly challenge, you MUST declare it by Monday at midnight.

As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. All challenges (personal or weekly) must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

If this is your first time on one of these quests, you'll need to see the initiation pamphlet.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:
Goal: weekly challenge (or whatever you decide to do)
Timezone: PDT

WRITE!!! *turns over hourglass set to run out at midnight on Saturday*

Mmhmm. Right now I'm not pitching a specific work--I'm researching the market and attempting to make contacts. But I've officially put myself out there. :D

Weekly challenge completed! The picture got me thinking of a new historical novel idea, so I wrote down some notes and drafted 500+ words of a scene that would occur in it. :D

I didn't complete my personal challenge, unfortunately. I sent some emails, but not enough.

Nevertheless, I have still closed the gap between me 'n Zoeee by 11 points.
