Welcome to the brand-new world building accountability group! Kitra, Lycanis/Jeremiah got scheming one day on how it is hard to remember to consistently develop our fantasy worlds. Down in the Arts Guild, we have monthly accountability threads that help us remember to do all sorts of artsy stuff, so why not do that with world-building?

This will be run much like the Music Accountability threads. Join the group by editing your name into the following list or asking someone to do it for you. Then post your world building goals for the month and keep us updated. Have fun!

Zee List:
Aubrey Hansen
Azlyn A. Mimetes
Jonathan Garner
Lady Kitra Mimetes
Leandra Mimetes
Lord Tarin
Lycanis Mimetes
Sir Inesdar Ternis

EDIT: As this group is new and just starting out, feel free to make suggestions on how we can run it to best serve world builders. :D

Participants & respective goalsHidden in neat little notes like this one. Please check the list below so you know who to poke and what you're poking them to do. ;)

Aubrey HansenWrite one article in preparation for doing 3 a month starting in January.
Azlyn A. MimetesWrite one worldbuilding article this month.
Jonathan GarnerWrite one world building article per week for world building notes.
Lady Kitra MimetesGet Mergim thread up before the year (or world) ends.
Leandra MimetesDraw the continents of Rhoive.
Lycanis MimetesGet fantasy world page up on website.

Well, I really ought to have had my Mergim thread up long ago, so if anyone wants to nag me on that, I might be able to have it up before the year is out.

Yay! This is going now. ^_^
My goal for this month is to get my fantasy world's page up on my website, which will take some doing and figuring out, including updating a few of the first threads in my subforum.

What are Rosie's goals? :D

Since I was just thinking that I needed to do more world building, I guess I should do this.

My goal is to write one world building article per week for my world building notes.

Nice goals, everyone! And we are glad to have you on board, Jonathan. :D

*Hides*

Yes, I started the thread, so I should make some goals, shouldn't I? :P

My goals this month are to develop one new animal, one new dance, and organize my world building docs (which are in a mess). Hopefully that will get me started world building again.

On the one hand, I'm only occasionally on HW these days (although I could just change that)...on the other hand, I want 1) a subforum, and 2) to develop my NaNo's world/city so I can play around in it even more...

Augh, just sign me up. XD :P

Now for a goal...

I want to draw the continents of Rhoive. If I can come up for a goal for world-building Gemini City, I'll probably drop by and add that.

Ooh, I'm so excited to see this up and running! :D I definitely want in, but I'm not sure what my goals are yet. Little brother, I'm officially making it your responsibility to poke me about that. ^_^

Both, I should think... But you can poke me regardless of your world building intentions.

*trots back in with a goal* My goal starting in January is going to be 3 posts a month. (Or, basically one a week with some wiggle room.) Since this month is half over I'm just going to make sure I do one world-building post before the end of the year.

Good goal, Philie! :D

I think I'm going to have to cut back on my goal... I haven't started any part of it yet. :P My new goal is to write one world building post this month.

I think I'm going to start my goal in January instead of now. :P Though I'll still try to write at least one world building article in December.

I've started figuring out the plugin and stuff, but now I need to get a few articles set up and maybe a map image for that page...I think I might be able to get it up this month, but maybe not, depending on if I can get my draft of Repetition done soon. :P

Nay, I haven't yet, and won't this weekend as I have several other deadlines. However, I should have ample time next week.

 I don't want to talk about it. ;)

Heh. Honestly, it might not take terribly long once I actually just sit down and do it...assuming I can find the piece of paper where I scribbled out the relative locations of the different nations I know of. Hopefully I didn't leave that back home, because if so I'll have to start all over again. :P

Uh oh...I hope you can find it! :P

As it happens, I couldn't, but it was easy to recreate, and I now have a sketch of the continents of Rhoive! *puts on party hat* WHEEEE! *runs off to check if her goal included more than that*

*edit* And, it doesn't! I made my goal! Now I just have to turn that sketch into something decent... XD

As for me, umm, ahh... I didn't complete my goal. :P *hides in corner*

Yes, I could blame it on a tangled mess of word documents... which I might just do. :P
