Welcome to week thirty-five, fellow questers! :D

Remember that worldbuilding article you wrote last week? Your goal this week is to write a short story on the theme of loss that somehow incorporates water/a body of water.

Your NaNo goal this week is to Put a kink in your protagonist's plans or do one scene from your antagonist's POV Extra points will be awarded if you do both.

Wait. What are NaNo goals?
I was just going to tell you. ;) For the rest of October and the month of November, we will be hosting extra goals that will either help your NaNo experience, or make it more...shall we say..interesting.

Can I do them even if I'm not doing NaNo?
For certain! They are quite likely to be able to be applied to normal writing, so help yourself to the extra points. :D

Remember, in order to receive points for completing the weekly challenge, you MUST declare it by Monday at midnight.

As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. All challenges (personal or weekly) must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

If this is your first time on one of these quests, you'll need to see the initiation pamphlet.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:
Goal: weekly challenge (or whatever you decide to do)
Timezone: PDT

WRITE! *sets off Roman candles*

About the kink-in-your-characters-plans thing, do I have to put a new kink, or can I write about a kink that I already planned on putting in?

Mmm. If you're writing, you can have planned it, but not begun writing it. If you're plotting, it depends on how extensive your plotting is.

I'm just going to declare the NaNo goal and do a scene from my antagonist's POV if the kink thing doesn't work out. I would be plotting it, and my plotting is extensive that is briefly summarizes what happens in each scene. If that doesn't count, that's fine.

Goal: NaNo Goal
Personal Goal: Write a double-drabble for Grace's HWHF contest
Timezone: CST

Personal Goal complete! And I planned out a kink in my character's plans. Since I'm still not sure if that counts, I am also working on a scene from my bad guy's POV. No one let me forget to report!

I finished the 'kink' challenge twice, and the weekly goal, and I hope to do the other part of the Nano goal too.
