Your challenge this week is to write a minimum 500 word article on warfare in your world.

As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. All challenges (personal or weekly) must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

If this is your first time on one of these quests, you'll need to see the initiation pamphlet.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:
Goal: weekly challenge (or whatever you decide to do)
Timezone: PDT

Go!!!! *shoots off fireworks*

Now, my question is, if my personal goal was only the worldbuilding article, I would get extra points because it overlaps with the weekly goal. However, I have another part to my goal, so the goal isn't strictly worldbuilding. So do I get the extra points or no? What do you say?

I think you should still get the extra points, Zoe, as long as you complete both parts of your goal. :D

Technically my goal this week is to finish editing Peter's Angel in its entirety. o.O But to be safe I'm gonna stick with a time goal for this:

Goal: Log at least 24 hours editing Peter's Angel
Timezone: CST

@Raven - I always thought the point was that your personal goal overlap with the weekly challenge, not that it consist of it entirely or be extremely closely connected...I think you get the points.

*loves the weekly goal for this week* :dieshappy:

Personal goal: Post another thread on my subforum.

Okay I have a question...
Raven of the Wood wrote:

Is this limited to warfare in your world as a whole, or is it anything to do with warfare (within reason)? Like, can I do an article on the fighting style and weapons (or one or the other) of a certain race?

Katie and Aubrey: Safe? What is this safe you speak of? There is no safe when you are dealing with the Procrastination Dragon.

Wolfgang: Anytime the goal is like this week's, you can write anything you want on that subject.

I think I'll try this weekly goal.

Goal: Weekly Challenge
Personal Goal: Write 1k of World-Building including weekly challenge (does that count for the extra points?)
Personal Goal 2: 1k in Jenimi's Character Fractal

Well, maybe it's safe because if I set a goal I know I'll clear earlier in the week, I'll have more time to report it, so hopefully I'll be less likely to forget. ^_^

Unfortunately, goals of any kind need to be declared by midnight Monday. However, the week is almost over, and we'd love to have you join us next week!

I thought so, but I just was wondering. I was poking around and did the goal for fun. I think I sort of have an obsession with doing obsolete challenges....

So, not making the goal is a good way to start my quest to defeat the procrastination dragon... not. :P This week turned out a little busier than expected; hopefully I can make up for it next week!
