That would be best. I'll probably accept them until I'm well into writing the book, because after that they wouldn't really help, but getting submissions while writing would help keep my inspiration up.

I just read the three entries I already got. Oy. I teared up pretty good. :P

I'd be willing to share some past experiences as well. I think this is a great idea and the fact that the profits are being donated to TWLOHA is a really wonderful thing. ^^

Thanks. ^_^ I've always loved TWLOHA since I first heard about them. And a couple months ago I was wondering how in the world I could help the people I want to reach with the limited resources I have...

And then it hit me. If I write a good novel about those things, and promise all profits to TWLOHA, it would be mutually beneficial for them to promote/sell the book. They get the money, I get my name out. And best of all, my writing would be earning money that goes to help the very people I want to reach but can't. :)

While I don't really have any testimonies, and I've never experienced 'the darker side of life', so I can't really contribute much, I think this is a wonderful idea. I hope it goes well. :)
