I've only recently begun to look at the LCMS. When I was younger I thought that type of history was as dry as dust. What does it mean that I now find it interesting?

I find church history interesting. I recently read A Summary of Christian History by Robert Baker, and learned a lot from it, but there is still an enormous amount to learn.

I like learning church history. Though I prefer old church history....

When I first read the title, I thought you meant the history of my church, as in my local community church. I'm afraid I don't know much more than the average about church history. I do know, however, that my local church began in a dugout. :D

I wasn't being specific. It could be "Church" history with a capital C, the history of your denomination, or the history of your local parish.

I put it in this time slot because that's when my synod was founded.

My "local parish" (hard to say local when it's a regional reaching church) was founded in the early nineteenth century. I really want to see if I can find any journals or newspaper clippings and compile a book on it.
