What did she think of her mother? Did she have problems with her, and did she miss her or worry about her when she was taken to Ouska? |

I wondered, what is it that she feels is wrong or unreasonable about the events in her life when she was a teenager? You mention that she is angry, but what basis does she have (or believe she has) for that? |

Well, her dad left when she young, so she feels angry and abandoned about that. Then since her dad decide to explain why to her mother by taking her Folding, which humans minds aren't capable of surviving, she came back essentially with schizophrenia. Hope feels abandoned by her mother as well, so those are the big things she's angry at. |

Yeah, because her aunt just left here there to lay a false trail so she wouldn't be found, essentially abandoning her again. |
