Hi! I am not done yet but I will post as I go so people can comment. :3 Don't mind the grammar. Darkness surrounded the parking lot outside of the Orlando shopping mall as night drew in. Lights from street lights flashed on and off as a 21 year old brown haired girl stood outside of the car waiting for her parents. She knew it wasn’t the safest thing to do but the cool air outside was a nice change from what it had been all week. The girl scanned her surroundings as time passed and her parents hadn’t arrived yet, something wasn’t right and she was sure it wasn’t last minute shopping. Grabbing the door handle she slid into the car and locked the doors just in case. She noticed five new messages on her cellphone that had come from some friends of hers from Holy Worlds forum. Looking through a few she noticed one from her friend Nemo which shouted out something about Leonard McCoy. A few minutes later one of the girls named Mango had called her, “Hi Emily.” She said. Nothing much happened after they chatted other than Emily feeling rather tired. Closing her eyes for a few minutes she fell asleep. Minutes passed in reality but for Emily it felt like hours. Her head had started to ache for some reason causing her to wake up from her unconsciousness. Looking around she noticed that she was in a gray room with some little windows into nowhere and people walking about. She was getting very confused at this and sat up. Suddenly one of the doctors came over, shushed her and made her lay back down. “Your best lying down, the borg tried to grab you from your car to take you to their ship. Someone came to rescued you but ended up blowing your car up instead. The same person took out the borg and whacked you on the head. You’re lucky to not be in a coma from that concussion.” Emily glanced up and watched him for a moment. Something about him looked almost familiar, “Where am I?” The doctor kept on his frown, “You are on the ship Enterprise, we’re needing to keep you here for your own safety until we figure out why the borg wants you. I am Doctor McCoy, you are?” “McCoy?! I uh… am Emily.. are you really Doctor McCoy? “The” Doctor McCoy?!” Emily suddenly got all excited, what would Nemo think about this. The doctor looked at her a little bit confused but then smiled, “You’ve heard of me?” Emily couldn’t keep her excitement in as she watched him, “There’s a whole fandom of you where I’m from… at least if you’ve ever been to the Holy Worlds forum which I highly doubt you have. It’s a Christian writing forum, my friend Nemo talks about you all the time. She even told me to write a fan fiction with you in it. I didn’t want to but I ended up doing it anyway. Is this place even real?” She looked around at her surroundings and wondered. Something about the place seemed unreal but it was here, something that she could look forward to. Doctor McCoy put down his clipboard, “You sure talk a lot for a girl… I wonder why the borg would want you…” |
