Or "Discipline" as I believe it's referred to in academic circle. But academic circles are boring. <grin>

Mine is Cosmology, not to be confused with cosmetology, as (sadly!) many people I know do. Cosmology is like astronomy only.... bigger! Instead of studying the solar system and the movements of nearby stars it's the study of galaxies and nebulas and galaxy clusters and really big stuff like that.

So what's yours? If you're still stumped on the question here's a few other examples: chemistry, biology, botany; I know some of you are going to say medicine, and that's definitely science too!

EDIT: if you're not sure what your science is or if a field counts as science or not refer to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Branches_of_science

I'd definitely have to say psychology. Ecology might be a close second, though.

My favorite is theology, followed by zoology.

I love zoology, although I don't really know what my favorite is.

Psychology, physics, quantum physics, mathematics, chemistry, and technology. ;) Technology is a science, right? It ends in 'ology'. :P

No, technology is not a science. It's the result of science. Applied science, to be precisely, if I remember right.

Engineering is also one way to put it. Physicists make scientific breakthroughs and engineers apply it practically thus producing technological advancements.

I refer to Wikipedia, the source of all knowledge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Branches_of_science
All the branches of science, and all the fields of all the branches. You might have to poke around a bit, but they're all there somewhere. Applied science is a branch, with many many fields, most beginning with the word "Applied."

And Katie said medicine counts, which is also under applied science, so I still say technology (applied mathematics, applied physics, etcetera) is one of my favorite disciplines.

I think mind would be Zoology as well, but I really want to learn more about Oceanography. It would really fascinate me!

When i was younger i was quite into Ornithology. (Study of birds.)
Now i really don't have a favorite science though I am partial to Metallurgy and Chemistry.
