I was looking at an old map of my world today and a random thought popped into my head...

Why shouldn't I create new forms of weather in my world? I've recreated everything else but that!

Changing something like weather would be unique (I think :D) but it could also be difficult to work out the science behind it so I've been trying to figure out if this is a path I want to go down or not. :D

What are y'alls thoughts? Has anyone created new forms of weather for their world?

That is a fascinating idea, and yes, it's definitely unique. :D My question would be, in regards to the science--how much of your world's science have you changed? If you've done a lot of work designing unique sciences--the shape of the world, geography, atmosphere, chemical processes, etc.--then you have material to work with. However, if you've left your sciences (and your main races) largely "humanoid," then your core building blocks of science are probably the same--contents of the atmosphere, the water cycle, your races need oxygen to breathe, etc. It'll be harder to create entirely new weather if you're dealing with the same basic materials.

You might consider, instead of completely reinventing weather, just creating some new weather phenomena. These could be influenced by pockets of unique science in your world--a place where the magnetic pull was stronger, a geyser that spews chemicals into the air and upsets the environment, etc.
