They have hard turtle beaks, they're green, they eat the nautilus, and they have flippers to fly around with.

Do they breathe fire? Can they hide in their shells? Do they just look like flying turtles? What are their more draconian features? What else do they eat? How do they interact with humans? How do they reproduce? Can they sleep while they fly, or must they land? Do they have wings? Do they live in groups, or alone? |

They do not to my knowledge. Only their heads, and not completely. No. They have a lizard body and a stout neck, but turtle heads and flippers and semifused shell back plate things. They have wings and have a draconic silhouette. People. Other flying things. Probably airships by accident. They eat them. Um...well, when a boy dragon loves a girl dragon... They have the leathery turtle eggs. They're probably buried under rotting stuff to keep them warm. They land. They do. They live in groups. |

The top of the shell is called a carapace, and the little scale-shaped tiles are called scutes.

I like this idea! B-) Dragons and turtles as one thing... Do they speak, or are they more like animals? Do they have any magic-type abilities? Do they always eat people?

Oh wow. Now that is an incredible idea. Would the skeletal structure of the shell naturally create rooms or would inhabitants have to build on the inside? Do they get hunted for their shells to be used for housing? Or do the shells molt like snakes so they are more easily used? Is there cultural significance to having shell homes? |
