This at first might seem like a silly thing to bring up.

Have you ever noticed how greekified christian symbolism is in our modern world. I mean when Yahweh is normally portrayed the exact same as Zeus the most adulterates deity ever we have a problem.

Especially when actual christian symbolism is the most awesome thing ever! Rainbows, burning bushes, pillars of fire and smoke. Heck just look at some of the descriptions of angels in the bible! Why the heck to we always default to the boring pagan symbolism of golden or white light and pretty sky kingdoms.

When actual christian symbolism eats that stuff for breakfast!

All I'm asking is maybe the next time you feel like having a character react with God get original, use something truly miraculous. Give your angel character a jackal head, or a-thousand eyes. Have your conduit be something like fire or smoke as opposed to light. Portray "holy energy" as a rainbow of colors not golden or white light. And for Peter's sake don't put God in a toga!

No, but seriously people are already confused enough, and using more appropriate symbolism can be used to disarm audiences making them look at Christianity in a new light, making unbelievers realize just how much they know about us "Christians" which tends to be vary little especially among ex-Christians, and even show Christians something about their own faith they may never have seen.

This is a good point, DawnBringer.

Have you ever read C S Lewis's Space trilogy? I am curious what your opinion would be about the way Lewis talked about some of the old Roman (Grecian with different names :P) mythology.
