| When people break the law in your world, what punishments are handed out with the crimes? Are your laws very lax, and criminals aren't regularly imprisoned or caught, or do you have very tight laws? What is deemed a small crime, and what constitutes a very serious crime? Do you ever have fines handed out? Community service? What happens when it comes to crime and punishments in your world? | |

| It depends in my world since their are 4 prime governments two monarchical feudal country's and 1 tribal anarchy and 1 democratic anarchy. In all of my country's the worst crimes (such as murder) the penalty is death. In my Dwarven country (monarchy) Kidnapping also carries a death penalty but they have no prisons and thieves are expected to work off their crimes rather than sit around in jail. In one human county (feudal) there are very harsh laws for even the smallest offence. Stealing is punished by chopping off (depending on the district) Tongue, ear, or hand. In another human country (Democracy) I have the penalty for crimes is dictated by special branding on the face for specific crimes. And Murder is punished by outlawry with the understanding that the murdered persons next of kin will hunt the murderer down and avenge them. | |
