I was considering adding a camouflage or being able to mimic their surroundings. Maybe wings. Even open to better names... Thanks!

Ooh I like this creation, Izenroe. It seems very original. Personally I like the name you have chosen. :)

What do they eat, as in do that have the capability to catch and eat something much bigger than them? Snakes can open their mouths really wide, but if this has a bird head I'm thinking that might impede eating large prey?

Also can they go underwater/swim?

Do they care for their young at all, or are they left to fend for themselves?

What is their average lifespan?

Awesome thanks Lady Elanor!

Well for my story they typically eat cattle, but any sort of animal will due for them with the exception of fish, water based animals, and other boeshryn. They do have that capability to catch things bigger than them but its only slightly too big and they prefer to eat there catch in pieces. Well I guess I described there head wrong...its essentially a snake head, but at the front there is an extension that doesn't have scales its a hard bone like beak that's pointy on the end..its not very long though but this allows them to eat things slightly bigger than them.

Boeshryn actually dislike water very much...something I thought would be interesting. When it rains you can find a boeshren curled up inside of a tree. They prefer warm or hot environments .

After an young boeshryn in born their mother is around until they are full grown adult then the mother leaves them.

Average life span...hmmm not sure actually any suggestions?

Most definitely yes, they do threaten humans. In the beginning they stayed to their own but over time they acquired a taste for them...

Aah, yes thank you for explaining. That makes more sense now, I was imagining them wrong.

Yes, having them dislike water is another interesting twist. :)

What age would the young boeshryn become an adult?

Our world snakes tend to live 'til they're around 20 years all, or thereabouts. However, it's really open ended as this is a fantasy world these snakes are in, so whatever suits your purposes I suppose. I would probably go for 25 to 30 years, but you could go for longer if you wanted. It depends on what you want. :)

Hmmmm, 30 is a good number that works, although I could say 50 which would it very interesting that they live that long :D ...and you're right its my fantasy.

The females live to be 50 and the males live to about 45...nice twist i think. In most cases it would be the other way around.

I guess since they live to be 30 or 50 they would be adults at 20.

Sounds good! :)

What kind of dangers do they face from other prey? Do any animals in particular hunt the Boeshryn?

Hmmm I have a few other creatures that they usually have to fight off, one is water based that comes on shore just to feed on these guys...

Typically most of their fighting is to protect their eggs and their young.

With the exception of the water based creature.
