Do any of your characters have any "sixth sense" abilities in your stories? What are they? How do your portray them? For those of you who have cobhas which do not include a sixth sense, this is a challenge: could your cobha allow for such an ability? If so, what would it be? Not that you have to use such things, but I tend to think that most cobhaic systems naturally lend themselves to having a sixth sense. Even LOTR arguably has a "sixth sense" (or several) in that the Rings allows for telepathy (this isn't expressly shown in the novels, but can be found in other books, like the Unfinished Tales), impressions of what other Ring Bearers are doing, etc. |

What would you consider a sixth sense? Some of my characters have extrasensory abilities, but they're not the usual special brain powers of mind control or telepathy and such. |

What you just described (mind control, telepathy, and such) would be kinds of a sixth sense. However, extrasensory abilities, would also count. Any ability to "sense" something that is not sight, hearing, taste, scent, or touch, would be a sixth sense. |

The majority of my characters have a six sense, ranging from telepathy to fire starters. With every possible six sense in between. XD As you can see I like characters with another sense. |

Tierin has a connection to Chalice, and they can communicate through thought, but everything else falls under hyper senses. |

Hyper senses? Do you mean senses that are more sensitive than normal? Keener eyesight, sharper hearing, better smell? That kind of thing? Xedagh Milkanin (A sci-fi character, I know) has a very small amount of precognition, a very tiny amount of telepathy, and telekinesis. |

I have a lot of sixth sense abilities, however they are not special. It's just another sense, like we have our five, though there are some who are better with it (sort of like some people have better eyesight). It ties in to a cobhaic aspect of action as well, linked sort of like doing things the physical way is linked with touch. That's my main cobha. |

Well, I guess most, if not all, of the cobha in my 'current' world has a sixth sense of sorts with it. I think it's usually more active than our five senses, in that it takes extra concentration to use it fully, but someone who's completely used to it will still 'sense' a lot even without deliberate attention. |

I haven't explored this idea at all, really, but it has given me food for thought. |
