In the frigid north of SKa'Lah'Seh deep beneath the heights of the Frostbreath mountains there lives a race of fearless warriors and brilliant Inventors. However, they also all seem to suffer from hyperactivity, attention deficit disorder, and kleptomania. They are the Rahtan.
Physical Profile: The Rahtan stand around 4 foot tall and have a thin frame. Furthermore, they have ears and tails like those of a rat or mouse, enlarged eyes, and excess body hair.
Reputation: Rahtan are renowned for their courage, cunning and craftsmanship throughout Ska'Lah'Seh. However they are are also quite infamous for the large size of their family units, short attention spans, dirty approach to combat, and apparent inability to comprehend the concept of personal property.
Social Profile: Rahtan live in large family units composed of any number of brothers, sisters, In-laws, and their NUMEROUS offspring. It is rare that any Rahtan lives to see the age of 40, therefore many families have no more than a single grandparent to whom the family usually rallies in times of hardship. This patriarch or more often than not matriarch is responsible for keeping the family happy and close. Furthermore Rahtan communities are also very close though a community of Rahtan can number into the thousands easily it is not uncommon for most all the Rahtan in a community to actually know everyone name a testament to their lengthy memories. Anti-social Rahtan are a rare sight and are often viewed as odd or just plain weird by their peers. As Rahtan do not have any formal form of government they usually make decisions based on group consensus.
Biblical Allegory: The Rahtan are a race small in stature but big in heart. They are unafraid of pretty much everything and deeply connected to each other through a deep form of loving fellowship. They symbolize that no one should be overlooked or looked down on for we all have a little bit of God in us. The best Biblical person to compare them to is David, a man who, despite a number of shortcomings, was courageous, cunning, kind to his people, and devoutly faithful to God.
