Hey everybody! I invented a weapon for my character, who lost her hand in a fierce battle with a Hellhound. The thing is, I can not think of a name for it!!! Can you help me out? Please?
Here's the part of my book where it's introduced and described:

When Celia opened her eyes, a face stared upside-down into hers with a crazy grin. Startled, she whipped her head up without thinking, and her forehead smacked into that of the person.
“Steph, you scared me!” Celia rubbed her head.
Stephanye did the same, but laughed. “Then my mission is accomplished!”
Celia stuck her tongue out at Stephanye, but couldn't help smiling. Noticing a metallic glint behind Stephanye's back, she asked, “Hey, what's that?”
“What, this?” Stephanye stretched out her left arm, grinning. “This is actually what I came to show you.”
The metal contraption, attached to the handless wrist, baffled Celia until she realized what purpose the spike on the end served. A series of latches secured it on her arm, and the spike, thick, sharp and lethal, protruded seven inches from the rounded end of the cuff.
“Steph, what is this thing?”
“What's it look like? One of the blacksmiths helped me make it.”
“How does it stay on? Doesn't it hurt?”
“No, not really.” She undid the latches. “These squeeze the air out. So it's airtight, I guess. It's a little uncomfortable, but a million times better than having a useless noodle on my left side.” She slid the unusual weapon off, baring her arm that ended in a lump of scar tissue. She had insisted the Healers not waste their strength on it, after they healed everything on the inside and closed the wound.
Celia examined the invention, opening and shutting the clasps. Stephanye laughed when Celia tried it on her own wrist and it refused to fit. She handed it back to Stephanye, and then found herself unable to tear her eyes from the disconcerting lack of a hand.
“Cel?”
“Hmm?” She glanced away, trying not to let on that she had been staring.
Stephanye laid her weapon on a table and stepped closer, smiling as she took Celia's hand with her right and placed the stump of her left in it. “It's okay. You can look. It's not going to strike you blind or anything.”
Celia looked. “It's so... So...”
“Yeah, I know.”
When Celia looked up, Stephanye's red-rimmed eyes told her that she only seemed to be taking it well on the outside. On the inside, she didn't feel so calm. Celia hugged her friend tight. “Are you okay?”
“Not really. I just keep telling myself, at least I'm not dead.”
“That's a good point.” Celia rubbed Stephanye's shoulder, then hugged her again.
“What was that for?”
“For being brave to the point of insanity,” Celia grinned.
“Hey, there's more where that came from,” Stephanye laughed.
“More people should be like you, Steph.”
“What? Singlehanded?”
“No, the brave thing.”
“Oh, that. But if everybody were brave to the point of insanity, I wouldn't be the only crazy one.”
“Okay. Whatever you say, crazy girl.”

So, any names you can think of, or even a prefix, suffix, or root word (even if it's in another language), would be greatly appreciated, as I am quite lost... Thank you!
And anyway, that was in the book I just finished. I'm going to need a name soon!

That's why I asked for help. 
Hm......now if only I were an 18 year old girl *sighs* I don't know about the type of weapon could be called, but I was thinking maybe she could come up with a normal name for it. I love coming up with names for random objects, I have lots of practice at it. As for the type of weapon, you should call it "Annihilator" or something like that. I started thinking of Excalibur from king Arthur and thought that a name like that would be cool. Something to think about. Glad to lend you my services *humbly bows*
