| So basically, the "Bohemian tiger beetle jumping spider", or BTBJS, are black at birth, but as they age they become brown, with black spots. They have extremely strong venom. One drop of venom in any cut, wound, ear, mouth or eye equals death in two hours. Awakons (I will make thread about them later.) dip their arrows in their venom. So that way just one scratch from an arrow will kill you. The BTBJS can jump 20 + feet. One weird thing about them is that they only have four eyes. They also have a very powerful jaw, so their bites can pierce steel armor. They are very aggressive. There's a quick bio, tell me what you think! | |

| Good question, Sir, I see them of this size, I'm still thinking of how to word it. "WARNING ANYONE WHO HAS ARACHNOPHOBIA LOOK NO FURTHER, OR THOSE THAT FIND SPIDERS GROSS LOOK NO FURTHER. WARNING MAY NOT LIVE UP TO HW'S LANGUAGE CODE, NO REAL SWEARS BUT SUBSTITUTE SWEAR WORDS." http://www.thestar.com/business/sciencetech/article/713308--researchers-identify-giant-new-spider-species http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goliath_birdeater I imagine them with a tip-to-tip leg span of about 12 centimetres, including a body almost four centimetres wide. To get an idea how big that is, imagine the size of a man's hand or a small saucer. | |

| What kind of a book is this to be? The term "Bohemian" rules out high fantasy, I would think, and a reference to Bohemia as a country would put the discovery of the spider some time between the second century BC and the Great War (the term "Bohemian" might have found use afterward in reference to the region in the Czech Republic, but that doesn't seem likely). | |

| Really? I have a part of a forest called "Bohem" thus the "Bohemian" part. I might have to change it then. Thanks for letting me know Sam. *Thinks of what to do*. | |

You mean by total coincidence you came up with the word Bohemian and you didn't know Bohemia was a real country? OK. Well, you might get away with "Bohem," but I'd change the adjective. Maybe "Bohemite" or something. Or you might even get away with "Bohemian," but I wouldn't try it. *shrug*

I might try Bohemem or maybe, Bohemer or Bohemlat. I'm just puting random things down now. Bohemlite, Bohemsot, Bohemaner. *Keeps on thinking of words* Bohemop *Voice starts to trail off* Bohemjil Bohemer?

| Ahh, good question, my brother came up with the name when I was little, but I decided to expand on it. *Thinks* Oh yes! I forgot to add, when they jump, they have wings on their backs that help them jump higher. Like a beetle. | |

| Ha! Good idea! What does the "tiger" part of the name apply to? And also, not to be a nitpicker, but it just seems a bit... unnecessary that the Awakons would dip their arrows in venom. The venom causes death in two hours, but arrows usually kill a person instantly... (depending on where you strike) so... | |

| Post subject: | Re: Bohemian tiger beetle jumping spider |
| You see, that is a good question, but I have a good answer! An arrow kills someone quickly, yes. But when you have 500 archers firing over a town wall, and someone gets hit in the foot, they will still die, so you always get a kill shot (unless they have some medicine). But medicine is very expensive. | |

| The name seems very long to me, most of the time people will give very simple names to things. Maybe just the tiger part, or maybe something to do with it's deadly capabilities like "slayer beetle" or something to that effect. They do sound most awesome, though. I don't think I would go to sleep on the ground with those things crawling around. | |

| Post subject: | Re: Bohemian tiger beetle jumping spider |
| For some reason I chose the long name, because no one chooses long names any more. But if you have a long name, it can add some comic relief to the book. I wouldn't want to sleep on the ground either! | |
