Here are the cute little fairies of my world! :D Enjoy, and any suggestions and thoughts are appreciated!

Fairies:

Fairies live in mostly the southern forests of Amerouk, although some do live in the north. There are four races of fairies, Mountain Fairies, Grass Fairies, Water Fairies and Forest Fairies. Forest Fairies make their homes in trees, Water Fairies live in small hollows in the ground near water. Mountains Fairies in miniature caves in the lower parts of the mountains, and Grass Fairies in the tall grass or tree stumps. All 4 are generally quiet and shy and most of the time they only come out at night in order to hid from humans. A fairy’s duties are to take care of the creation as assistants to the King. They help keep the balance in place. It is the Kings duties to handle the large things, like protecting forests from being sawed down for lumber, but the fairy’s duties to do the small things, such as replanting rare plants so that they can keep thriving. Or a Grass Fairy’s duty to keep small animals like mice alive and thriving. They all have special abilities to go with these duties, varying on what race of fairies they were born into.
Fairies are only ever female, they are small, ranging from 4 to 5 inches in height, hair can come in either blond, brown, or red. Their faces are small and dainty, red-haired fairies usually have a few freckles. Their wings are white, and about half the size of their body. Fairies make clothes out of things such as leaves and flower petals, sewing them together with blades of grass. It is said that once clothes by fairies are made, the flower petals and leaves will not turn brown and die because of the fairy’s magic. Their magic give them the ability to fly, and fairies have a natural, sparkling light because of their magic. Fairies are also the bridge between humans and animals, as they can talk to animals and the creatures will understand their words. They eat things such a mushrooms, berries, and wild nuts.
When a fairy dies naturally, usually at the age of 30 years or so, a new, young fairy about 2 inches tall, is given from Azéan to an older fairy who then proceeds to raise the young one a teach her about the elemental guild they were born into and how to take care of nature. However, if a fairy is killed unnaturally, a new one will not be born. They are hard to kill, because they are small and can dodge and hid.
Fairies at first appearance seem very shy and unpredictable, but once they become know, they can be very helpful in navigating through places such as swamps or forests, grassy meadows or ever mountain tops. They help the forests, waterways, etc. grow and prosper. These gifts from Azéan to the world are to keep his creation alive.

They sound good! :) You say they can talk to animals, and the animals understand them, can they listen to or understand animals?

Yes, they can! I had almost forgotten about that. Thank you for reminding me! :D The fairies can speak in the regular language (English) to the animals, which they normally would not understand, but when it's a fairy say the words they can. And they can understand what a fox might say in yips and barks, but they won't be speaking in yips and barks themselves. :D

I also find this a intriguing idea! Just one doubt: Are the fairies a secret to the other tribes in your world or does everybody know that they exist?
