These people live in sky homes, which are...forgive me...like flying saucers. They have nothing to do with advanced technology though, have little or no metallurgy, and fight with clubs, atlatls, and stone swords.

They are called the D5u th5u.

The reason I use numbers is because they are easier to type then diacritics and foreign symbols. D5 and Th5 are pronounced like D and Th, but with the tongue and the upper lip instead of the tongue and the upper gum. You actually put your tongue out of your mouth when you say them.

They are simple sounds to make, but I have never encountered them in any word in any language I have seen. Nearly all of the D5u th5u consonants, and one of their vowels, are like that.

This is the D5u th5u script (it is a syllabary):

You can see the symbols better if you zoom in (by clicking on the picture once it is opened).
The colored blue boxes are syllables that they do not have in their language.

Here is a page about different syllabaries:

I will change some of the symbols, and probably add alternatives. Tell me what you think about it!

Is it the first syllabary that has been posted on the forum? Syllabaries are very conducive to Fantasy.

Bye the way, the D5u th5u are not the only people that live in sky homes.

Thank you!

I will probably post recordings of the correct pronunciations.

Even if you are not able to pronounce it, are you able to hear it being spoken in your head? What does it sound like, or remind you of?

Sadly no, that's why I had to try saying it... The closest I can get to what it sounds like is blithufffthdu.
