Well, this is one of the first posts about my world so please try to help me where I screw up.

First of all, you must know that in my world dragons are not a species, they are a kind. Like felines and canines. There is not just one species there are many and they are all varied and different. But now I will be talking about one type of dragon: The Tyre Dragon.

This dragon's habitat is desert lands and dry rocky mountains. This dragon was named so because of it being discovered at fort Tyre where a swarm of them attacked the fort for its water supply hundreds of years ago. This animal is normally solitary unless they unite for a common goal such as the well at fort Tyre. Its behavior is normally not as so unless driven to by extreme circumstances (at the time there was a severe drought). Normally these dragons wait buried in the sand until an unsuspecting creature walks to close and then grabs it with its claws before puncturing with its nose horn leaving it injured before it can eat its prey.

This dragon has a kind of a rough exoskeleton made of protruding bone coming from its spine, this exoskeleton is colored brown to help it blend in with its environment to capture prey. It has a long and thin body which contributes to its speed in catching prey from its hiding position. It has wings but uses them mostly at night because of its stealthy nature and the desert's hot weather. This dragon has a noticeable growth hanging from it neck, this bag like structure holds excess water for further use. This dragon can breathe fire but it is used mostly in defensive situations.

Its mating habits consists of the male and female in a sort of a wrestling match. If the male succeeds they make eggs and if he loses he is not fit to make eggs. Parental habits are nonexistent, the parents leave the eggs in the sand to fend for themselves The parents have around ten to twelve eggs.
The parents then part ways and continue hunting.

These dragons are nomadic and have no permanent home. They continue to travel in search of food. When they sleep or rest they lay themselves in the sand to where there is almost nothing sticking out but its nose which could be mistaken for a bone. These animals are not very large for a dragon and an average male would be around three feet high and nine feet long with females slightly smaller. When a Tyre dragon egg hatches the baby immediately starts feeding on insects and small mammals. These creatures can perform all of their instincts at birth because there is no one to teach them their endemic behaviors.

I think I might have missed something. Any questions? Suggestions? Comments? Complaints?

*looking forward to reading about the Wyrm dragons especially* :D

These are neat, Aeleknight! I like that it has an exoskeleton. I don't think I've seen that on a dragon before.

Cool, I'm trying to get you away from the picture of an insect though it is an exoskeleton in every sense of the word. It shouldn't be compared to an insect. More like the thick hide of a Rhino but completely hard and bonelike in structure. :dieshappy: :dieshappy:

Very good ideas, Aeleknight!

I can see the dragon under the sand like a crocodile, and then leaping out. I am looking forward to the descriptions of the other kinds.

...growth like object hanging from... Should probably be changed to "...growth hanging from..."

The person who wander away from 'passive' righteousness has no other choice but to live by 'works' righteousness. If he does not depend on the work of Christ, he must depend on his own work.So we must teach and continually repeat the truth of this 'passive' or 'Christian' righteousness so that Christians continue to hold to it and never confuse it with 'works' righteousness - Martin Luther

I like how you chose the name based off of a fort. That is very…. Well, it makes me believe in the story more. It resembles something we do in our histories, thus making it seem more believable and real.

I was totally sold on the description! I love the fact that you describe this goiter like bag around their neck that stores water.

This is how I chose for my Diegose to start out life, so I think it is interesting you did this as well.

I would like to hear more of this Diegose. Where can I find something about it?
