| Just some random notes I found that I thought ya'll would find interesting. Quote: Eye colour has importance in this society. Healers have blue eyes. Red eyes are a sign of a bloodthirsty character. Yellow eyes are never tolerated in a child; they are put to death immediately. Grey eyes denote gentleness, black, a fiery spirit. Brown eyes belong to those who have great skill with the earth. Green denotes a stubborn character, or an inclination towards the supernatural. Brown, grey, and black are the most common colours. Healers are rare, good healers hard to come by. Most witch doctors have green eyes. Most wizards red or yellow. | |

| It's neat. Are there characters who act differently than their eye color would indicate? | |

| I'm not sure actually, I wondered that as I posted it guessing someone would ask. I think it has something to do with the villagers' superstitions. Animals have yellow eyes, so it probably has something to do with that. Perhaps they considered insane or unlucky or something... My MC from this story, Morgon, has eyes that change color. Occasionally they settle on something, for a few minutes, or a few hours, and that's why I had to come up with this. He never experiences yellow eyes, though, just red ones. | |

| Cool Vanya. *has blue eyes* Only by this information, my character would fit better with black eyes. | |

| Sorry, Jonathan, I missed your question. Suiauthon reminded me... Yes, probably. There aren't hard and fast rules, although people would like them to be. They're more like general principles. Although, in Morgon's case, his eyes reflect his actions, vs. the usual actions reflecting your eye color. | |

| The ambiguities would make things interesting, then, for the people who live in that world. They wouldn't know for sure. | |

| How do people treat people that are disfigured/lame/deaf/blind at birth? Do they kill them at birth as well or do they have a higher regard for them than people with yellow eyes? | |

The different images and impressions that came to mind, based off of this paragraph, were very powerful. I like the idea of eyes defining people. I use very different eye coloring for my races, but have used it for genetic purposes, and not for personality/destiny purposes. It is an interesting twist. I like it. | |

| It would be interesting to write a story about a yellow-eyed person which somehow survived...and had some power that no one else had. eru | |

| Interesting, considering one of my characters, Lyrious, has very bright green eyes, and in the world he's in that is the sign of the Crusader, a being who is meant to protect all life from Deamons and wickedness. Two qualities of the Crusader are stubbornness and obviously an inclination for the supernatural. | |
