This is my first post... I'm nervous as you can see.
In my book there are flowers beyond some peoples' wildest imaginations, others which a lot of people see everyday, and others which are dangerous and man eating.
But the flowers I will begin a new topic on are the most beautiful flowers in the world, and more than anything you want to pick large bunches of them, or even just one to see if it smells as lovely as it looks.
They have rhinestone middles that are ‘sapphire, ruby, and emeralds, etc’ though I suggest you take advice from Audric: he warns you not touch the flowers because they are so poisonous that a single touch will kill you. The oil of my flowers gets on your skin (A bit like poison ivy as far as the oils go. :o ) and it gets into your blood stream and it quickly kills you--in thirty minutes without an antidote you will not last. I really love these flowers, they are temptation in my book. Tolkien put temptation in his book as well, but that was temptation for power. Temptation for wealth or money is a common thing among people as I have studied of late. My flowers will show that the jewels could be sold for lots of money, for none can live after touching the flowers. The flower withers at the touch of your hands and dies, leaving the stone behind. While you are left to watch your friend’s greed as he leaves you alone in the woods.
Flowers are normally very innocent things, but poison ivy is a very innocent looking plant too. But once you touch these you regret it either now or later. The friend who steals the jewel and leaves his friend to die is later bragging about touching the flowers and is killed while he sleeps and his jewel stolen. These flowers are not much use, and in my book, they have a small role to play, but otherwise I want anyone who writes books to use them. :dieshappy: Because they can be called whatever and I’m sure someone somewhere has also created them. Well, please comment...
Hope to hear from you! Till then I've got some other ideas. :book:

I agree Milly! These sound very fascinating, I'd also love to hear more about them!

Love 'em! This would make a fantastic scene in your book. :D

They sound like gorgeous plants, I would love to really see them (not touch them though, I think I'll be good with just looking) ;)

Great job! I'm looking forward to hearing more about your world!

So, what purpose do the flowers serve, other than tempting people?

Thanks,
No, they don't serve any other purpose, though they are going to be used to guard my kingdom. :dieshappy:

Hey, that's a great use! It will also weed out dishonest citizens. ;)
