I thought I would share my world map for my ongoing "epic" fantasy. This is not a finished map but I did include the three countries and several of the main cites that have names. Vargon is where the majority of the story takes place. It has three regions; the most densely populated is the southernmost region. This includes the capital city of Corf. The second and more northern region doesn't have as many large cities, but it has a large population of more people. The third region is the northernmost, it has few people and only one city. There are a few settlements, and many adventurous people live here even though it is a harsh climate. Orkil is to the south of Vargon. This is home of the dwarves; their culture is much older than the humans of Vargon, and they do not deal much with Vargon. The five main cities of Orkil are the five mountains within its borders. There are also numerous mine towns and such in the surrounding mountains that have yet to be named. Loster - not much is known of Loster, in fact, so little is known that it is empty on the map (though I do have a detailed map of it that I will not show.) It is said that wolves live in Loster, and no explorers that have gone have returned. Kor is the home of a small kingdom of humans. (This is where the MC of "Epic" is from.) Vaed is a mountainous island of dragons. No settlements have never been made on Vaed. (Because the dragons don't take kindly to anyone. Uel plain is a huge flat grass land home to tribes of nomads who travel in wheeled ships over the plain. I will be updating this map as I work out the names of all the places. So what do y'all think?

I like it Brink, well done. Although the fact that land goes off the map on the right makes me want to get in the map and explore over there. =D eruheran |

The map is made from the point of view of the people of the world and since they have just now started exploration at all they haven't made it that far. I painted the map with paint.net |

Ok people please give me the low down on what about this map you don't like, what you would like seen done with it, and if there is anything that is stupid or impossible. |

Joe Clemons wrote: Ok people please give me the low down on what about this map you don't like, what you would like seen done with it, and if there is anything that is stupid or impossible. Well, you asked for it. I want to be able to zoom in on it so I can see details and small names better. |

Looks great! I'm with Eruheran, the fact that the land trails off makes me want to go exploring. You could write a book about the adventures of a simple cartographer. |

Well, sorry, Joe, I'd tear your map to ribbons if I could, but I really have no objection to it! |
