There are five cultures. Vargon, Orcil, Norvsgry, Loster, and Kor.
Vargon. This culture is made up of humans. They have lived in Vargon for about 700 years. They were nomads before then and because of constant fighting among themselves their culture has not advanced very much. They are very medieval in society as well as dress, though the rich are more Renaissance. All the land is owned by lords who basically rule as they like. Everything is very feudal. They have been heavily influenced by the dwarven culture. Their language and alphabet are based on the dwarves. A lot of their architecture is copied from the dwarves. In fact, several of their cities were built by the dwarves. They have also taken art, literature, and music from the dwarves.
Orcil. They are completely dwarven. Their civilization has been for several thousand years. They are very much into tradition but they are very curious and most of them are artisans. All their cities are carved out of mountains, so stone is very important to them. They have a king and he appoints rulers of each part of his kingdom. This keeps things working and they do not have much political strife. Their technology is far advanced from the humans. They don't wear fancy clothes. All their clothes are designed to be practical. They love exploration as well, and that is why most of the rivers, mountains, etc. bear dwarven names.
Loster. Is a wild land of huge forest. The werewolves live here and they have no real culture. They are almost animal. They live in the forest in tents and move frequently. They are divided into tribes and are always having bloody wars with each other. The strongest man in their tribes are their leaders and they all have a lust for power. They have no interest in building or anything else. They are content to live in their tents and hunt animals. War is their only pastime. They don't use weapons, because as werewolves they already have the weapons they need.
Norvsgry. This small country in the far north was for hundreds of years very warlike and would come down the coast in their ships and plunder the cities of Vargon. After a war with the dwarves in which Norvsgry was all but destroyed, their leaders took an oath to never make war on anyone ever again for all time. And they have stuck by this rule for generations. Their men are still the best fighters in the world. This is the only reason Vargon has not conquered it, because of its warriors who defend it so well. Their government is unlike any of their neighbors. They have democratic government and have a council of 30 men that set the laws and give out punishment. They live a simple life mostly of farming and fishing and trying to survive in the harsh north. But many of them sail out on their ships ever exploring further and further. They are all blonde and blue eyed and somewhat larger built than the Vargon neighbors.
Kor is a small island. No one is really sure how long they have been there. They have a king and are much like Vargon but most of their people are farmers or fishermen and they stay peacefully on their island. Their rich people (who are few) love to have all the latest news of what's fashionable in Vargon and so all their culture is very similar to Vargon.
