I'm editing some of my old poems to submit, and I have ideas for one or two new ones, so hopefully I'll be submitting a few more poems soon. :)

An update - since a few people have been unsure about whether songs count as valid submissions for this project, I'm going to clear that up right now: You can indeed submit songs. :)

Also: the end for the submissions date, as a reminder, is November 30th. There's still time to turn poems or songs in!

:D This looks fun... perhaps I can try to figure out something.

Oh, and I can probably help at least some with the editing. :)

Alright. So. We've passed the submission deadline, and I've realized a couple of things.

First, having the deadline at the end of NaNo was quite stupid of me. :P Most of you are just coming off that hectic 50k (or what-have-you) schedule, so any poems you may have written probably weren't submitted. With all that in mind, we're extending the deadline to February 1st.

(Also, a couple of you didn't realize the deadline was this month, not last month. Sillies. :) In other news: PLEASE SUBMIT!! :beg:)

Secondly, judging from the volume of stuffs we've received, I'd say this won't work as a commercial project. IE, we won't be making any money from it. But that's not a bad thing! After a bit of discussion, Teddy and I have decided that all the participating writers will decide on a charity to which all the profits from sales will be donated. (Meaning I don't have to do any math, YAY! ;))

I think that's all, folks. You now have two months. Get us some more poems! (and yes, I'll try to write some more too).

With that extension, I've added the two poems I wrote since I previously sifted out submissions for this that qualify as even quasi-speculative. (And I'm going through and removing the "webite" boilerplate I had at the end of each of my Docs while I'm at it.)

Can you expand a little bit on what you mean by that? Too few submissions? Too many submissions? Too low a contributor/submission ratio? Too high a contributor/submission ratio?

Both. We only have nine contributors who've submitted anything; other than you and Juliet, everyone has submitted five or less poems; and we have a total of 42 poems-- that's maybe fifty pages once formatted. By comparison, the Sword and Pen is 186 pages.

Ya'll have until midnight of February 1st to turn in submissions! Aubrey, Vili, and a Trista - you three have folders, but haven't submitted anything. If you have stuff written and just haven't put it into your folders, now would be the time to do so!

Those of you who don't have a folder in the Google Drive, but would like to submit poems/turn in poems you've been working on, contact me or Jakorosin, and we'll get you a folder set up!
