* chuckles * No, keep it up!

Jay couldn't help but laugh as he gave Tynx another piece. Chayn shook her wings, raining tiny water droplets on the trio.
"I don't who Dad and Kendall are, but whoever you two think would be the least likely to be alarmed would be best," Chayn looked at Shawn and Jay, her blue eyes only partially concealing her nervousness.
"Kendall is the best one who's available. How we get there is another issue."
"We can fly some more," Tynx piped up around a mouthful of granola.
"And be seen by the helicopter?" Chayn looked down at him. "But, we might be able to out-fly it, it looks too stiff to be very agile."
Jay frowned up at the sky. "That might work... Besides, it's clouding over. The less visibility, the better."
Chayn looked at the trio worriedly. She glanced at the sky. "I'm not sure we would be able to outfly it if we all flew." Tynx choked on the last of his granola bar.
"What do you mean? You carried us all here," he protested.
Chayn looked like she was about to say something, but Jay jumped in. "We could drive in the car, and you all could fly."
Shawn shook her head. "I'll need to ride..." She continued before Jay could protest. "They don't know the way, and we could get separated. And you don't know all the back ways. It's the only way, Jay. And chances are I'll be as safe on a dragon as you in a car."
"I can go with Jay!" Tynx volunteered. Chayn looked at him warily. "Oh come on, I'll behave! I promise! If it's OK with Jay?" Tynx looked at Jay.
Jay shrugged. "Fine with me. Explaining you if I get pulled over will be a doozy, but hopefully that won't happen." Tynx looked at him blankly. "Never mind. We're going to lay low anyway, right?"
"Huh?" Shawn made a face at Jay over Tynx's head.
"I can lay low!" Tynx boasted. He immediately crouched low to the ground, his belly brushing the grass. "See?" Chayn looked at him, slightly puzzled. "I think it works better if you're smaller." Chayn nodded, still examining Tynx's position. Jay looked slightly at a loss, but pushed it away as he smiled.
"Okay, then, lets..go!"
Shawn cocked her head to the side and pursed her lips. "You two had better stay out of trouble, unless you want to explain a dragon coming to rescue you."
"Me? Trouble?" Jay grinned, his eyes flashing. "Stay out of sight as much as possible."
"We will," Chayn promised. Once Shawn was safely on her back, she leapt into the air. Tynx looked at Jay.
"So, where to?"
"This way; let me know if you can't keep up." Jay began hurtling through the underbrush, rapidly heading in the direction of the car.
Tynx smiled and darted off after Jay, his small body slipping through the underbrush easily. Until he ran into a tree.
"No one saw that!" He exclaimed, shaking his head to clear the circling stars and continued to run. "I think the tree moved on purpose." Tynx caught up to Jay. "So, are we running all the way to... to what's-his-name's house?"
"No, we're taking a car. I'll explain it on the way!" he interjected before Tynx could ask another question. "Okay, we're almost the parking lot. Follow me, and stay as quiet as possible."
Tynx nodded, the seriousness of Jay's tone made him keep quiet as he crept behind Jay, his ears pricked and his body low to the ground.
Shawn and Chayn watched from the sky. Between running rapidly and ducking behind cars, the duo managed to make it to the car. Jayson fiddled with his keys, and after a moment of explanation, he and Tynx got in the car.
Shawn grinned. "He'll have fun explaining seat belts."
"Seat belts?"
It took a few minutes for Jay to explain what the seat belts were. Tynx couldn't quite wrap his mind around the whole concept of the car as a whole. In the end, Jay gave up and started the car, he looked over at Tynx to see him hopelessly entangled in the seat belt.
"Like this?" Tynx asked, looking at Jay upside down. "How do you humans do it?" Jay rolled his eyes and started off, all the while muttering under his breath, "We won't get pulled over, we won't get pulled over..."
Shawn's eyes watched the car carefully. "Okay, here we go," she said calmly.
Chayn slowly followed the car, watching it carefully.
Inside said car, Tynx was poking around the dashboard. He nudged a pair of sunglasses.
"What are those?"
"Um, I think those are Shawn's. You put them on your-" Jay glanced at the speedometer and slowed down, dropping his sentence. Tynx immediately wedged the glasses on his ears. "Oh, cool!"
Above, Chayn had spotted flashing lights. Lots of them.
"What's going on over there?" She asked, nodding in the direction of the flashing lights. Shawn peered at it, then groaned.
"Traffic. Listen, we're going to have to take the back ways."
"But what about Tynx? And Jay," the dragon amended.
"It's too risky. Besides, if there's any way, Jayson will get them there." She sensed the dragon's doubt. "We're probably less trouble if we go the other way. Someone might see us. Please, Chayn." Shawn leaned forward, pleading with her voice.
Chayn hesitated. She watched the car, then dipped her head and tilted away. She looked at Shawn. "Where to?"
Below, Jay and Tynx caught up with the traffic. Jay began to get nervous, and tried to keep a very curious Tynx from climbing up on the dashboard. "Tynx, lay low."
Shawn scanned the area, feeling Chayn's wings beating like the rhythm of her own heart. "That way," she said, forgetting to motion with her hand. Chayn hesitated again. She glanced at Shawn expectantly. "Oops, that way," she repeated, this time motioning in the direction. Chayn swerved away, keeping high in the sky to avoid detection.
"Aw, but why?" Tynx looked at Jay. So far, they had advanced about as far as a snail would have in the span of the minute, only they had moved that much in about fifteen.
"Because-" Jay stopped mid-sentence. A man in a dark blue uniform was approaching. "No, no, no, no!" he groaned, thumping his hand on the steering wheel. "This is not good."
"Why are you pulling over?"
"I have to. It's the law."
This seemed like a good stopping place to me, so I thought I'd stick this section in the other thread. Does that sound good to you?
