Fireflower- the healing juices extracted from its bright orange petals, is medicinal for snake bites.

Fernwort- blue moss that grows in moist places, particularly in caves is used for cuts, healing affect 24 hours!

Radoni- a white puffy ball like flower, used to make tonics to bring down fevers.

Haliko- Deadly pink flower, but its leaves are safe to use when brewed in tea for stomach aches.

Blimarium- a rare purple cone like flower, useful to make an ointment for bruises and sore muscles.

Rosedina- A red rose crossed with columbine, the flowers petals are used to brew a tonic for any level of pain.

(Flowers combined are used to treat the ailments they list...for example Haliko, Radoni, and Rosedina can be used altogether to cure Stomach ache accompanied by a fever with moderate to severe pain (either bodily aches, or headaches)).

Guznuts- a delicacy in Meridia, very expensive to purchase at the market, usually owned only by growers and bought by royal subjects and families. This sweet nut tastes like a glazed pecan! and is used to top a berry or fruit pie.

Kahvnah bread- a sweet bread baked with Guznuts, Cinnamon, blueberries, and lemons. A rare treat only used for special occasions or used by royal or wealthy families.

Fruitnaw- A drink made from Apples, Oranges, raspberries, and limes. Common drink made among villagers, and orchard growers, children love this!

Nice! I like it very much. *Ponders what plants might be in her world* The fireflower sounds familiar, though. ;) Is it based off C.S. Lewis'?

These are very interesting. Is there a season where the Haliko leaves are poisonous as well? There are many real-life plants that have both poisonous and medicinal parts, and several of those have seasons where the entire plant is toxic.

If someone is a Guznut plantation(?) farmer, are they considered very wealthy or politically significant?

Haliko you pick the leaves in late spring just before the flowering stage....you can dry the leaves for later use (like you do mint) ...the leaves are not poisonous at all.

as for the Guznut farmers, they would be "personal" farmers for politicians. And use their farms to grow food for trading with other countries.
